SHIRLEY S. CAMPER - Funeral services for Shirley S. Camper were Friday, July 17, 2009 at Parsons Mortuary Chapel. Burial followed in Bible Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Camper age 73, died July 14, 2009 at Decatur County General Hospital. SHe is survived by her husband, Welton Camper, Darden; one son Mark Camper IN; four daughters, Alana Ingersol, Denise Gandy, Sharon Soltis and Karen Bouger all of IN; one brother E.L. Taylor, Parsons ; one sister Peggy Brister, Parsons and nine grandchildren.

RICKEY S. CANEPA - Memorial services for Rickey Canepa were Saturday Jan. 15, 2011 at Mercer-Adams Chapel ini Bethany OK. Mr. Canepa age 50, died Jan. 12, 2011 in Oklahoma City OK. He was preceded by his mother Jesse May Canepa Ross Houghton and one brother, Clifford Theodore Canepa. LEONARD MARION CARR JR. - Services for Leonard Marion Carr were Tuesday Jan. 26, 2010 at Reeds Chapel, Decaturville TN. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Bath Springs. Mr. Carr, age 72, of Bath Springs TN died Sunday Jan. 24, 2010 at Jackson Hosp. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the US Navy. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Black) Carr, a sister, Mary Walters of Memphis; a half brother, Lewis Sees, of Valdosta GA.

LEANNE (MAKI) CARVER - A memorial service was held at Morning Sun Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Memphis TN at 11 AM on Saturday Feb. 20, 2010. Local services will be set at a later date. Mrs. Carver, age 49, of Decaturville TN died Monday Feb. 15, 2010 at her home. She was an LPN. She was the wife of Jeff Carver of Decaturville, they were married March 15, 1985. Survivors include her husband of Decaturville; two sons, Jason Pashby of Bartlett TN; Jeremy Pashby of Bartlett; her parents Walter R. Sr. and Marvalene Maki of Dallas TX; a sister; Virginia Bond Whitlow of Dallas TX; two brothers, Walter R. Jr. of Bartlett, John Gordon of Bartlett and two grandchildren.

ROY BURTON CARY , son of the late William Alfred and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Melton Cary, was born August 16, 1888. He died in Thayer Veterans Hospital at Nashville Thursday July 26, 1951 at 12:10 p.m. making his stay on earth 62 years, 11 months and 10 days. Roy served his country in the army for 14 months during WW I when so many young men fought to end all wars. He was discharged after the armistice with the rank of corporal from Co K First Prov. Development Bn., of the 81st Div. known as the "Wildcat Division". Roy married Myrtle Estelle White, Reagan TN Jan 12, 1926 and to this union was born one son, Joe Price Cary, now a member of Co C 838 Eng Avn Bn, Orlando Air Base, Orlando FL. Roy is survived by his wife, his mother of Holladay, his son, Joe Price; three nieces, Mrs. Hazel Melton of McKenzie, Mrs. Maxine Renfroe of Huntingdon, and Mrs. Sue Barnes of Nashville, together with a number of grand nephews and grand nieces. He is also survived by five uncles, Sam, Anderson, Goul, Joe and Talmadge, Melton and two aunts, Mrs. Vick Wilson and Mrs. Martha Holland; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Rainey, precede Roy in death about 25 years ago, leaving three little girls whom Roy helped rear to womanhood and educate. Roy had been an active member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for 46 years having united with his church at the age of 16. Roy will be missed, not only by his family who leaned heavily upon hisshoulders, but by his church and by his community. The day was not too .. nor the night too dark or cold for Roy to go to the help of a neighbor. Such men as Roy Cary are the ones that make the world a better place in which to live. Services were conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Neil Butler, assisted by the Rev. Woodward Bartholomew and the Rev. A.U. Nunnery at Prospect Baptist Church.

RICHARD B. CASE - Services for Richard B. Case were held Saturday at Parsons Mortuary Chapel. Interment followed at Crossroads Cemetery. Mr. Case age 84, died August 31, 2005 at Decatur County Gen. Hsp. Servivors inlcude his wife, Mary Ann Coble Case of Sugar Tree; 2 stepsons, Bobby Hills of St. Petersburg, FL and Mark Hills of Old Hickory TN; a daughter Mariane Case a sister, Ruth Zinn of Medford OR.

JAMES ARTHUR CHAMBERS , 72, were conducted from Kelley Grove Church in Decatur County Monday by the Rev. Stocks. Mr. Chambers, retired of Saltillo, died early Sunday at the home of a son, Carl L. Chambers, Memphis. He had been ill for the past two months. He was a Baptist. In addition to his son, he leaves five daughters, Mrs. W.D. Beckham, Licking MO; Mrs. Lonnie Adams, Caruthersville MO; Mrs. Lily Mae Maness, Bath Springs; Mrs. Madge Western and Mrs. Wilma Blount, Milan.

JAMES CHESTER COBB , age 74, died APril 28, 2009 at Decatur Hospital. The family chose cremation. He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Parsons, two sons, James C. and Norman Cobb; three daughters, Phyllis Pierce, Brenda Cruse, and Mary Jane Barnhill and nine grandchildren. He was preceded by a daughter Christian Nolen.

J.W. CORDLE - Services for J.W> Cordle were at Reeds Chapel, Decaturville on April 11, 2011. Burial followed in Old Center Cemetery. Mr. Cordle, 86 of Bath Springs passed away April 9, 2011 at Decatur Co. Hospital. He served in the US Army in WW II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by a daugher, Carl (Dewey) Quinn of Bath Springs; a sister Lucille Keeton of Knoxville and four grandchildren. Mr. Cordle was deceased by two wives, Jean and Mary Ruth; two sisters, Vera Patterson and Aileen Kennedy Mitchell; three brothers, Ernest, Cletus and Robert Cordle.

LIGGIE FRANKLIN CORDLE - Funeral services for Mr. Franklin Cordle, age 47, of Bath Springs, will be conducted today, April 11, 2004 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur County Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Pettigrew and Bro. Joe Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Greys Chapel Church Cemetery. Mr. Cordle, a truck driver and farmer, passed away Saturday at Decatur County General Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Josie Hollowell Cordle; two daughters and two sons, Renee Gooch of Yuma, Angie Wadley of Lexington, Wayne Chamberlin of Humbolt and Ray Chamberlin of McLemoresville; four sisters, Wilma Sue Watson of Bath Springs, Linda Tucker and Evelyn Tharpe both of Decaturville and Martha Barker of Reagan.
