JESSIE MAE QUINN
- Services for Mrs. Jessie Mae Quinn, 81, were today at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Zane Edwards and Richard Holloman officiating. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery with Hunt Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Quinn, widow of Willie Green Quinn, died Sunday morning at Cedar Crest Hospital after a long illness.
She was a Decatur County native, but had lived in Gibson County most of her life. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Quinn and Cecil Quinn, both of Humboldt, and Virgil Quinn of Lockport, Ill., three daughters, Opal Quinn of Humboldt, Jane Broome of Charlotte, NC, and Helen Hinsley of Russellville, Ill.; two stepbrothers, D. B. Ballinger of Truman, Ark., and Delmer Ballinger of Sugar Tree; two stepsisters, Lena Ballinger of Parsons, and Mrs. Coy Mullinax of Memphis, TN; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
JOE QUINN
- Services for Joe Quinn, 79, will be at 3 p.m. today at Prospect Baptist Church near Parsons with the Rev. Mike Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Parsons Mortuary in charge.
Mr. Quinn, a retired Decatur County school teacher, died Friday evening at Benton County General Hospital in Camden after a long illness.
He was a Parsons native. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vernie Miller Quinn; two sisters, Mrs. Net Gulledge of Malden, Mo., and Mrs. Bill Harrington of Camden, and a brother, Glennie Quinn of Huntingdon.
LUCILLE (JOHNSON) QUINN
- Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Johnson Quinn, 84, of Holladay, were conducted on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the New Prospect Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Wyatt officiating. Parsons Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Quinn passed away Saturday, December 3, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a retired employee of Salant and Salant Garment Factory in Parsons and a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. She was born June 12, 1921, in Decatur County, TN, to the late Silas and Loudie (Renfroe) Johson. She is also preceded in death by three sisters, Neva Scallions, Louene Smith and Mildred Quinn; four brothers Leonard Johnson, Mack Henry Johnson, Dewey Johnson and Allison Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Linda) Quinn of Parsons, Terry Quinn of Decaturville; two daughters Jancille (Joe) Guin of Jackson and Carolyn (Jack) Colwick of Jackson; one brother Renn Johnson of Parsons; ten grandchildren Lora Seeley (Bill) of Jackson, Brian Guin (Nicole) of Henderson, Bob Colwick (Lori) of Knoxville, Heather Bryant (Eric) of Chesterfield, Missouri, Charlyn Evans (Kyle) of Murfreesboro, Kelly Quinn of Lincoln, Nebraska, Misty Easley (Philip) of Saltillo, Holly Key (Brandon) of Lexington and 12 great grandchildren.
MADISON ROBERT QUINN - Services for Madison Robert Quinn, 55, of Memphis will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at the Parson Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Mark Mangrum officiating. interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Madison was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an employee of Cleo Company as an engineer. He grew up in Decatur County, the son of the late Lorene Coleman Quinn and Olis Quinn, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Carol of Memphis, a son, Jeremy of Arlington; brother Olis of Parsons; sister Nancy Miller of Peoria IL and two grandchildren, Daxton and Mia Quinn. - Funeral services for William Parker Quinn were Thursday Feb. 26, 2009 at Parsons Mortuary Chapel. Mr. Quinn, 85, died Feb. 24, 2009 at Jackson Hospital. Survivors include one brother, Ed Quinn, Parsons.
WILLIAM ANDREW QUINN
, 62, died following an automobile accident Friday afternoon in Goodlettsville, Tenn. He was a native of Decatur County, son of the late William Jasper Quinn and Nancy Gulledge Quinn. He had been a farmer and taught in the elementary schools in Decatur County and at the time of his death was employed at the Tennessee State Penitentary. He was a Mason and a member of Cub Creek Hall Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lorell Timms of Plainview, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Harrington of Parsons, Mrs. Ethel Johnson, Bernie, Mo., and Mrs Herman Woods of Dexter, Mo. Funeral services will be at the Prospect Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon with the Rev. Fowler Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Parsons Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the funeral home until time of the services.
WILLIE GREEN QUINN
- Trenton, TN---Oct. 4, 1958: Services for Willie Green Quinn will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at
Antioch Baptist Church near Humboldt. The Rev. H. A. Turner will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Walter Martin. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Hunt Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Quinn died early Friday morning at his home near Trenton. He was 66.
He was born in Decatur County but lived near Trenton about four years.
He was a Baptist and a retired farmer.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jessie Mae Quinn; four sons, J. W. Quinn of Saginaw, Mich., Robert L. Quinn, Cecil Quinn, and Clifton Quinn all of Humboldt; three daughters, Opal Quinn of Trenton, Helen Hinsley of Bradley, Ill., and Jane Patrick of Humboldt; three brothers, Earnest Quinn of Gary, Ind., Clyde Quinn of Steele, Mo. and Leonard Quinn of Medina; and three sisters, Mrs. Nola Bunch and Mrs. Luna Sanders of Humboldt, and Mrs. Pearl Smith of Medina.
