GEORGIA LOU RAMSEY - Services for Georgia Lou Ramsey, a native of Decatur COunty were Monday, March 2, 2009 at Hardy and Son Fuenral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery #2. Mrs. Ramsey a retired postal clerk age 66, died Feb. 26, 2009 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Rondall Famsey, Russellville KY and two sons, Ricky Earl and Jeffrey Ranklin and four grandchildren.

HOLLIS ENGLAND RANEY - Funeral services for Hollis Raney were at Reeds Chapel in Decaturville TN Oct. 16, 2009. Burial followed in Decaturville Cemetery. Mr. Raney age 83, of decaturville TN died Oct. 14, 2009 at Westwood Healthcare. He was a long time owner/operator of Decaturville Lumber Company and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Raney is survived by a daughter, Annie Smith of Jackson; a son, Hugh Raney of Decaturville.

JETTIE MAE RANEY - Services for Jettie Mae Raney, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boyd Decaturville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Center Cemetery in Bath Springs. Mrs. Raney, a homemaker, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis of heart failure. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem England Raney. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Johnnie Wyatt, Lexie White and Hollis Raney, all of Decaturville, and Paul Raney of Germantown; and two sisters, Hazel Smith of Memphis and Lexie Martin of East Peoria, Ill. Mrs. Dixon, retired, died Wednesday at Decatur County Manor of heart failure. Mrs. Raney, retired, died Wednesday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital of liver disease. EULA MAE RHODES - Services for Mrs. Rhodes age 89, were Tuesday August 19, 2008 in the chapel of Paffod Fuenral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. Keith Kirk officiating. Burial followed in Scotts Hill Pentecostal Cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes died Sunday in Parsons, she was born 5 July 1919 in Scotts Hill to the late Sam O. and Lily Mae (Thompson) Rhodes. She was a retired secretary for Decaturville Sportswear and a lifetime member of Eastern Star, Parsons lodge. She was preced by three brothers, Ernest, Clyde and George, three sisters, Mildred Hayes, Ruby Lee Rhodes and Ruth Jerkins; one grandchild and one great grandchild. Survivors are her two daughters, Freda R. Wade and Ramona Thomas of Scotts Hill; two brothers, John S. of Monroe Mi and Bill of Lexington, three sisters, Mary Lois White, Martha Flowers and Carolyn Frazier of Monroe MI, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Burial afollowed in Prospect Cemetery. Mrs. Rhodes died Friday in Jackson.She was born Sept. 1, 1917 in Henderson Co to the late Asa Cleveland Morris and Emiley Myrtle Stanfill. She was a homemaker and a member of Austin Chapel Church of Christ. She was preceded by her husband Clyde T. Rhodes, a son, Wayne M. Rhodes, a brother, Norris Morris and five sisters, Gladys Hawkins, Naomi Barnett, Willard Presley and Reba Sabanese and Jean Staltz. Survivors are her daughter Loretta Shannon (Cecil) of Scotts Hill a sister Nell Petty of Memphis; three greandsons, Gary Shannon ofBirmingham AL, Larry (Donna) Shannon of Sardis and Philip (Christie) Shannon of Sardis and three great grandsons, Dustin, Daniel and Drew Shannon all of Sardis.

LONA MAE RHODES - Services for Mrs. Lona Mae Rhodes were Monday November 8, 1999 at Brewer Funeral Home Parsons with burial in Weems Cemetery, Linden. Mrs. Rhodes, 77, died Sunday November 7, 1999 at Decatur Hospital. She was a retired factory worker and the widow of Wm. Glen Rhodes. HOWARD WYLIE RIMMER , 72, of Hornbeak, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Wesley at Dyersburg Nursing Center. He was a retired crane operator for General Motors, a U.S. Army veteran and and a Baptist. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Peace Chapel Cemetery in Scotts Hill. The family will receive visitors at 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Survivors include his former wife, Mary Katherine Rimmer of Ridgely; five sisters, Flynn Murphy of Memphis, Ivelee Huckabee of Lexington, Janet Brader of Little Rock, Ark., Jo Ethel VanVelvor and Ruby McBee, both of Michigan; a brother, K.D. Rimmer of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews including Deborah Marberry of Dyersburg. He was preceded in death by a son, Howard Keith Rimmer; his parents, Lecter and Connie Rimmer; and two brothers, Cecil Rimmer and Gary Wade Rimmer.

Mrs. Rogers, age 89, of Jackson TN died Sunday April 4, 2010 at Morningside of Jackson. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Night of Zirconia NC, Bonnie Deadon and Lisa Boyd of Lexington and Brenda Rieffel of Greenville SC; a son, William Rogers of Hendersonville NC and thirteen grandchildren.

TAVNER ROGERS - Services for Dr. Tavner Rogers widely known physician of Decaturville were conducted Tuesday from Decaturville Methodist Church. Dr. Rogers who would have been 90 in November died at his home early Sunday. A native of Henderson County he had practiced throughout a two county area since receiving his degree from the University of Tennessee in 1894. In early years he made his calls throughout Henderson and Decatur counties on horseback. In 1948, the Decaturville Civic Club staged a "Dr. Rogers" day, at which time 2,500 "Dr. Rogers babies" paid their respects. The day has become an annual event. He is survived by two children Barney Rogers and Mrs. Hettie Barry; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother Alfred Rogers of Memphis and a sister, Mrs. Martha Todd at Henderson County.

DOLLY (HOUSTON) RUSHING , 83, of Decaturville TN, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Westwood Healthcare. She was the widow of Elmer W. Rushing. Dolly is survived by two daughters, Brenda Joyce Magers, of Scotts Hill; Becca Joan (Jerry) Jones of Jackson,; a sister Dorothy Sue Goff, of Decaturville, one grandaughter, one great grandson. SHe was preceded by a brother William Ray Houston. Funeral services at Reeds Chapel wereMonday Nov. 16, 2009. Interment followed at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Parsons.
