WILLIAM RAY VAUGHN - Funeral services for Mr. William Ray Vaughn, age 87, of Decaturville were conducted Monday, July 23, 2007 at Freeman Chapel A.M.E. Church in Decaturville with the Rev. John Moore officiating. Interment followed in Decaturville Cemetery. Oakdale Funeral Home-Decatur County was in charge of service. Mr. Vaughn passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Decatur County Hospital. He is survived by four granddaughters, Pamela Teague, Christine Vaughn, Tracey Jefferies, all of Michigan and Sandra Vaughn of Paris, TN. Other survivors include 20 great-granchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary L. Vaughn, a granddaughter, Quinsola Grandberry, four sisters and four brothers.

D.T. VISE (JR) - Services for Mr. DT Vise Jr. age 86, were Monday July 27, 2009 at the Parsons First Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Ray Painter officiating. Interment followed in the Crossroads Cemetery. DT passed away on July 26, 2009 at the Decatur County Manor. He was born on April 14, 1923 in the Mt. Lebanon Community to the late Nora Welch Vise and Dewitt Vise. He married Mary Catherine Fisher on May 25, 1941 and they have four children; Carolyn (Billy) Holmes, Jimmy (Jonetta) Vise, Kay Parnell and Davis (Anne) Vise; and nine grandchildren. He farmed in the Crossroads Community in Decatur County. He worked with teh pipeline a few years and when they formed the Decatur County Ambulance Services he was one of the first hired and the oldest EMT in West TN. He went to training and made an EMT and worked with the service for over 12 years. DT was forced to retire when he was injured on an emergency call in 1985. After retirement he was an avid supporter of the Decatur County Coon Hunt and loved to travel with his family having fun times until his health failed. In addition to his parents he is preceded by grandson, Joey Holmes; brother, Elmer Floyd Vise; sister Margaret Vise Jones. Pallbearers were Johnny Gulledge, Dan Boggan, Johnny Ralph Maness, Jim Conrad, Glenn Wallace, Mike Vise. Honorary pallbearers were St. Jude Coon Hunt Association.

JOEL TIMOTHY VISE - Graveside services for Mr. Joel Timothy Vise , 40, of Decaturville, were held Wednesday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Bro. Junior Yarbro officiating. Parsons Mortuary was in charge. Mr. Vise died Saturday, September 11, 1999 at his home, due to heart failure. He was an air conditioner technician. Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Vise, Decaturville; a brother, John Terry Vise. Preceding him in death was his father John D. Vise.

JUANITA VISE , 52, of Scotts Hill passed away May 21, 2009 at her home. Juanity is survived by her husband Mike Vise of Scotts Hill, a daughter Wendy (George) lee of Decaturville, a son Jay of Decaturville, her mother Helen Adkins of Scotts Hill, two sister, Imogene Blackstock of Scotts Hill and Linda Cooper of Savannah; four brothers, Bennett Earl Adkins of Jackson, Larry, Terry and Walter Bennett all of Scotts Hill and by four grandchildren. She was preceded by her father Clarence Adkins and a ssiter Louise Mills. Services were at Reeds Chapel in Decaturbille May 24, 2009 with Don Franks officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Decaturville.
