Mrs. Sarah Jane Roberts, widow of the late Dr. Joe C. Roberts,
died at her home at Pulaski, aged 77 years. Mrs. Roberts was a fine type of the old school Southern gentlewoman,
and during the Civil War, when her husband was an army surgeon in the Confederate service, she frequently assisted
him in his surgery on the wounded soldiers.
