James Frank Hanna

Trustee Hardeman County; born in McNairy County, July 16, 1896; Irish English descent; son of James Frank and Dina (Maxedon) Hanna; paternal grandparents Robert and Ann (Rowsey) Hanna; maternal grandparents John and Emily (Dillon) Maxedon; married October 25, 1932, to Willie Louise Ross. Educated in the public schools of Hardeman County. Member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Chamber of Commerce; Democrat. In his early life was engaged in agricultural pursuits, his grandfather coming from Ireland to Hardeman County in the early part of the nineteenth century; has lived in Hardeman Co. all his life; still owns and operates a farm. Elected to the office of Trustee of Hardeman co. in August 1926; has held this office continuously since then, having been five times re-elected; recently nominated for a seventh term; his high degree of efficiency and popularity is attested by his long tenure in public office.
