Born on a farm in Hardeman County, Tenn. March 18, 1888; Scotch-Irish parentage; son of William Franklin and Athanasia (Lambert) Waller; married Mary Bessie Vincent, March 17, 1912. Paternal grandparents (___) Waller et ux; maternal grandparents James and Fannie (___) Lambert. Educated in the public schools of Hardeman County. Member Missionary Baptist Church; Democrat. In his early career, engaged in teaching in which he remained for several years; served as mayor of Hornsby for two years; served for six years as a member of the Hardeman County Quarterly Court; elected County Judge of Hardeman County in August 1934 by an overwhelming majority; the affairs of his office after four years are in the best of condition; also looks after his farming interests; is regarded as one of Hardeman County's most capable officials. He is the father of three children: --Bernice Orene, Benton Woodrow, and Beryl Vincent.
