CARL AUSTIN - Services
for Carl Austin were Wednesday at Brownsville Funeral Home with burial in Trinity Cemetery. Mr. Austin, who was
71, died Monday at Jackson General Hsp. after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a WW II Army veteran.
He leves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Austin of Brownsville, three sons, Larry Carl Austin of Cleveland, Jimmy Fred Austin
of Jackson and Charles Edward Austin of Somerville; a brother Edgar Austin of Lexington four grandchildren.

JAMES CURRIE - Died,
at his residence in Haywood co.. Tennessee, the 16th of January last. Mr. JAMES CURRIE. in the 77th year of his
age. Mr. Currie was a native of Caswell co.. North Carolina, and moved to this District about six years since.
He was elected, about the thirty-seventh year of his age. a Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian church.

Cooper Roy Hinsley - Stanton -- Services for Cooper Roy
Hinsley, 76, were today at Brownsville Funeral Home with minister Mike Brandt officiating. Burial will be in Brownsville
Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hinsley, a retired farmer, died early Sunday morning at his home after a long illness. He
was a native of Haywood County and a member of Stanton Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances nichols
Hinsley; four sons, James Hinsley, Larry Hinsley and Ronnie Hinsley, all of Stanton, and Earnest Hinsley of Beardstown,
IL; a daughter, Mrs. Vertie E. Hicks of San Jose, Calif., a brother, A. D. Hinsley of Stanton; 12 grandchildren,
four stepgrandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tom Hinsley, Earnest Harvey,
Lawrence Hinsley, Fred Hinsley, Bill Wright, and John Hinsley.

Earnest “Hank” Hinsley (1930---2000) Springfield, IL –
Earnest “Hank” Hinsley, 69, of Beardstown, IL died on March 3, 2000 in Springfield, IL. He was born on September
12, 1930 in Shepp, TN, the son of Cooper and Francis Nichols Hinsley. He married Helen Vivian Quinn who preceded
him in death. Services for Mr. Hinsley will be at 1:00 p.m. On Tuesday, March 7, 2000 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery
Chapel Mausoleum in Springfield, IL with Dr. John Charlton III officiasting. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown,
IL is in charge of arrangements. Survivors are two daughters, Vivian Jones and Vickie Schnelten both of Springfield,
IL, four grandchildren, three brothers, James Hinsley, Larry Hinsley, and Ronnie Hinsley and Mrs. Vertie E. Hicks
of San Jose, California. Honorary pallbearers were Walt Lyles, Gene Hamilton, Kurt Rice, Kevin Lewis, Bobby Quinn,
Tommy Quinn, Mike Jones, Larry Piluski. Pallbearers were Jody Parrish, Wesley Parrish, Dennis Hack, Greg “Bobby”
Sikes, David Baker, Steve Gustafson, Vickie M. Schnelten, Stephen C. Schnelten, and Roger Olroyd. Entombment will
be at the Oak Ridge Mausoleum in Springfield.

Helen Vivian Hinsley (1933--1999) Beardstown -- Helen
V. Hinsley, 66, of Beardstown, IL died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville, IL. She
was born May 25, 1933, in Humboldt, Tenn., the daughter of Willie Green and Jessie Mae Ballinger Quinn. She married
Earnest Raymond Hinsley in 1951 in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Hinsley was a homemaker and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors: husband, Earnest, two daughters, Vivian Jones and Vickie Schnelten both of Springfield, IL, four grandchildren;
a brother, Cecil Quinn of Humboldt, Tenn., two sisters, Opal Quinn of Humboldt, Tenn., and Jane Broome of Charlotte,
NC and several nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held. Entombment: Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel
Mausoleum. Sager Funeral Home in Beadstown is in charge of arrangements.

Maud Sensabough Hinsley - Brownsville – Services for Maud Sensabough Hinsley, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brownsville Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hinsley, a retired cafeteria employee for Tennessee
Academy, died Monday at Methodist Haywood Park General Hospital. She was married to the late Allen Esters Hinsley.

Sarah S. Jefferson - DIED, In Haywood County, Ten. on Sunday
evening the 23rd of August, Mrs. Sarah S. Jefferson in the 57th year of her age. The loss of this truly pious and
amiable lady will not only de deeply felt by her numerous relations, but also by a large circle of friends and
acquaintances.

P. J. Winston,for many years a leading
merchant of Brownsville, died last week after a severe illness. Mr. Winston was born in Montgomery County in May,
1842. When the war between the States broke out he was at school at the University of Virginia. He joined the Confederate
army in 1861, making a faithful and gallant soldier and surrendering with Gen. Johnston in North Carolina in April,
1865. He returned to his home, but removed to Brownsville about 1866, where he has resided since. He married Miss
Julia Taylor of Brownsville in 1868. She and two children survive him.
