Charles Ellsworth Bolen, the son of John Wiley and Hannah ELizabeth (Jean) Bolen, was born 2 August 1874 in Carroll County TN. He died 29 October 1948 in Wildersville, Henderson County TN. Charles married Louetta B. Traywick first and then later married Media Rigsby. Boone Douthitt of Nashville officiating. Dr. Bolen died at his home in Wildersville after a lingering illness which had kept him bedfast for some time. Dr. Bolen was a member of the 1901 class at the University of Nashville. He had practiced at Wildersville and Yuma. He was a member of the Tennessee Medical Association. Dr. Bolen was a citizen of Henderson County and was highly respected throughout his native county. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Carroll County. Charles and Louetta had 7 children together - Lucille Hannah 5 May 1902, Lorraine Martha 2 Apr 1904, Hugh Lofton 5 Jan 1906, Charles Elsworth Jr. 3 Oct. 1907, Augustus Traywick 16 Oct. 1909, John Wiley 30 Aug 1912 and James Romney born 4 March 1915. Charles and both of his wives are buried at New Hope Cemetery in Carroll County TN.
