The cemetery is bounded on the east by a growth of trees; then the old stage road. The first things that greet you from the west is the shrubs and flowers, with the green grass for a background. Mr. and Mrs. J.W. McPeake buried their young son, Joseph Warren, the first in this cemetery, on April 11, 1895. Since then in the same row, are brothers, sisters, father and mother. J.W. and wife are close by; then east are found the markers of J.S. McPeake and wife, then the K.N. McPeake grave. To the north you will find the slabs bearing the name of Robert McPeake, April 4, 1830-1911, and then Mrs. Robert McPeake, 1834-1910. Mrs. E.J. McPeake's marker relates that she was born in 1861 and died in 1939. Young Robert McPeake, Jr., and children run to the southern part of the cemetery. Next are the markers of L.D. Deere, 1856-1933; S.E. Deere and wife, Emm Deere and wife. Then in a strange lonely place, we find Corp. Jesse L. McPeake, without a marker, sleeping his last sleep near the grave of his father.

To the south you will find a slab bearing this writing: "F.A> Evans, 1853-1910". Mrs. F.A. Evans and the marker of Mrs. N. Deere Evans, 1820-1902. Going northward there are the markers of W.H. Reed, 1854-1937; Mrs. W.H. Reed, 1850-1930. Then there is the rock of Bill Rythmiere, sleeping his last sleep far away from his homeland, Germany. Also there are Wrights, Hugabees, Owens, Garners, Russells, Fesmire, Davises, Wyatts, Robisons, Powers and Helms and many more telling the story of somebody's loved ones resting there.
