Book 56 Pg 488 Warranty Deed 6 November 1936 For and in consideration of Four Hundred Dollars paid and to be paid by Clyde Williams as follows: Four Hundred Dollars cash, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. We, W.S. Hart, Martha Williams, Cotha Pollard, Older Hart, Ceatrice Hart, Margie Blankenship husband Connie Blankenship, Lola Holmes, Elizabeth Wallace and husband Melvin Wallace and Bonnie Lee Wallace have bargained and sold, and by these presents do transfer and convey unto the said Clyde Williams his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Henderson county, State of Tennessee Located in the fifth --- 6th Civil District of said county and state and more particularly discribed as follows. Beginning on a stake in the old Lexington and Purdy road, new highway No. 22, it being a corner of the lands of Duncan Mullins, being South corner of said Duncan Mullins land, being Northeast corner of lands conveyed herein, runs thence West .. degrees North 107 poles to a stake, thence North 58 poles to a post oak; thence West 112 poles to a stake with black jack and post oak pointers; thence South 58 poles to a postoak; thence Eas___ poles to a stake, thence South 147 1/2 poles to a stake, thence East 132 poles to a stake in the Lexington and Purdy road; thence North ___degrees East 168 poles with said road to the beginning, containing by estimation 175 acres more or less. These calls however include and there is hereby expressly excluded from the conveyance about 53 acres sold off to J.C. Hart many years ago and which is now owned by T.J. Britt, leaving in the tract conveyed approximately 122 acres. The land herein conveyed being the same land conveyed to J.M. Hart by deed of E.S. Stegall, dated Feb. 25, 1903 recorded volume 56 page 404 Register's office Henderson County, Tennessee. Said land was owned by said J.M. Hart at the time of his death, and inherited by his childen and heirs at law, namely, J.C. Hart, W.S. Hart, Martha Williams and Cathey Pollard all of whom are granters herein except J.C. Hart who has been dead about fifteen years and whose children aand heirs at law are joining in this deed. The purchaser herein assumes the payment of all unpaid state and county taxes on the land herein conveyed. To have and to hold the said parcel of land, with the appurtenances, estate, title and interests thereto belonging to the said Clyde Williams, his heirs and assigns forever. And we do covenant with the said Clyde Williams that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land in fee simple, have a right to convey it and the same is unincumbered except state and county taxes. And we do further covenant and bind our heirs and representatives to warranty and forever defend the title to said land to the said Clyde Williams, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof we hereunto set our signatures this 26th day of September 1936.
And Margie Blankenship and Elizabeth Wallace, wives of the said Connie Blankenship and Melvin Wallace, respectively having appeared before me privately and apart from their husbands, the said Margie Blankenship and Elizabeth Wallace acknowledges the execution of the said instrument to have been done by them freely voluntarily and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from their said husbands and for the purpose therein expressed.
