Lexington Progress 3 August 1951
The revival conducted at Union Church by Bro. W.A. Woody, assisted by eh Pastor, closed Friday and two new members were baptised in Reed's Lake Saturday morning. The two additions are Melba and Jane Walker.
The music was under the direction of Howard Walker with Mrs. Roy Williams as pianist. Visitors in the community for the revival were Mr. and Mrs. U.T. Reed, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Reed and family, Mr. an dMrs. Jack Reed and Larry Reed, all of Millington.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Walker of Wildersville were sugger guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pat McCall Monday night of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Evans and son of Safford were visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Walker one day last week.
Those from her attending the Roy Cary funeral at Prospect Saturday afternoon were Mrs. Joan Melton, Mrs. Dora Frizzell, Mrs. R.I. Park, Roy Frizzell and John Brown Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Walker and son Jimmy, have returned home after a weeks visit with Mr.a nd Mrs. P.W. Walker and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Frizzell and son Donald attended a Registered Holstin sale in Dyersburg one day last week and added a fine new cow to their promising dairy herd.
Mrs. Leo Kelley left a week ago by plane for the Bermuda Islands to join her husband, who is stationed there. She expects to remain until Mr. Kelley is transferred elsewhere.

Miss Ruby Davis of Memphis spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Fronabarger of Jackson visited Mr.a nd Mrs. L. M. Walker, Saturday and Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. James Evans and children, Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Bromley and son and Lathel Duke spent a day last week in Jackson shopping.
Those from here attending the joint meeting of Henderson and Decatur County Officers of Home Economics and Agric. classes were: Janette Palmer, Helend and Harold McCall, Willard and Angalee Park. This meeting was held last Thursday night at Lexington High School.
Mrs. Berta Dennison and Allen Duke were visiting relatives here and attended church at Union Sunday.
Sunday visitors in our community included Joe Evans of Lexington, Mr. and Mrs. Milze McPeake, Mr. and Mrs. Herbie Garner and son of of Rock Hill and Robert Dennison of Memphis.
