Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boswell and children of Cottage Grove spent the weenend here with her father, Dr. C.E. Bolen.

Mrs. Ray Parker and son returned Sunday to their home in Memphis after a three weeks stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.O. Derryberry of near Rock Springs.

Mrs. W.D. Carnal of Cross Roads has been staying Jackson at the bedside of her husband who is in the Webb Williamson Hospital suffering with a broken arm and leg.

Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Coble of Lexington spent Sunday with Mrs. Essie Rush and family on Rt. 1.

Carl R. Orr of Memphis visited his father Col. F.M. Orr from Thursday till Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Willie Griggs of Huntingdon, attended the funeral of his aunt. Mrs. W.D. Wood here last Thursday.

Fain C. Masters and family moved recently from Knoxville to Natchez Trace Park where he is connected with the State Forestry Service.

Mr.a nd Mrs. hooper Lewis of Chesterfield spent the weekend with her brother J.L. Davis at Cub Creek Lake.

Mrs. Martin Todd and daughter Shirley of Lexington spent Tuesday and Wednesday here with her mother, Mrs. Ellen Mincey.

Jake Kiser of Huron spent the weekend with his sister Mrs. G. T. Parker and Family at Crossroads.

G.T. Hatch and son Charles and daughter Georgia dn Mrs. Linnei Scott Todd of Rt. 1 were in Milan Monday on business.

Mrs. Bob Myracle of Rt. 1 was carried to Memphis last week and entered the Baptist Hospital where she underwent an operaton on Tuesday of this week. She has been in poor health for more than a year and this is her second visit to the Baptist hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Lewis and daughter moved Tuesday to Medina to make their home. They are employed at the Wolfe Creek Ordinance plant near Milan.

Miss Martha Claire Darnall of Lexington spent the weekend with her cousins F.A. and Stanley Gordon on Rt. 1.

John H. Griggs and family of Pleasant Grove were here last week on account of illness and death of his sister, Mrs. W.D. Wood who died Wednesday.

Mrs. W.H. Arnold carried her baby son to Baptist hospital in Memphis again Monday for futher treatment of his feet.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Myracle of Lexington spent Sunday here with his parent Mr. and Mrs. Lee Myracle.

Endal Gordon of Rt 1 is recovering from a bad attack of tonsilitis.

Misses Lucile and Neva Derryberry have taken rooms in Milan where they are working in the Ordinance plant in Wolfe Creek.

Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Derryberry spent Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Todd on Rt. 1 and enjoyed a birthday dinner in honor of their young son Larry.

Prof. L.M. Reeves of Chapel school was in Milan Monday on business.

Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Rush and son Carl, and daughter Mrs. W.D. Carnal of Rt. 1 were in Jackson Tuesday to see the latter's husband, a patient in the hospital.

Mrs. Lena Rush was in Jackson Saturday to see her brother, Dewey Carnal, a patient in the hospital.

J. Sam L aws has begun the operation of a grist mill at his home near Cross Roads, and is soliciting your corn to grind each Saturday. He also has fertilizer for sale.

Mrs. J. Pritchard and son of Memphis arrive Tuesday to visit her parents. Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Lewis on Rt. 1

Miss Dorothy Rush of Rt. 1 is staying in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Pritchard in Huntingdon and going to and from her work at the Ordinance plant near Milan.

Bro. Otis Smothes filled his regular appointment at the Baptist Church Sunday and Sunday Night. He, his wife and daughter, Joy, Mr. and Mrs. raymond Fesmire, Mrs. Carrie Douglas and Gayle Walker were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Derryberry.

Mary J. Webb and Earl B. Walker returned from New Orleans last Wednesday A.M. and Earl B. went to Knoxville that night to resume his school work. They report a very thrilling trip to New Orleans. They went by plane from Memphis.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Derryberry were in Jackson shopping last THursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Laws, Mr. and Mrs. Onnie Derryberry were in Memphis last Saturday to attend the funeral of Oscar Hester.

Miss Ruth Bolen and Mrs. Ruel Bolen ofLexington attended church here Sunday.

Mrs. Tom Derryberry, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Lee, Clarence E. and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Rhodes were in Martin last Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mr. Horace Butler.

Beaver School played two good games of basketball lasat week. They played Sardis. The girls got beat three points but Beaver boys won over Sardis by manymore points than that. Beaver goes to Sardis this week. Come on girls.. lets win this time.
