JOHNNY FRED BAYLES
- Graveside services for Johnny Fred Bayles were Friday November 15, 1996 at at Lewis Cemetery. Mr. Bayles, 59, died Monday November 11, 1996 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. He leaves a wife, Dale Bayles of Jackson; five sisters, George Ann Bradford of Jackson, Evelyn Burkhead of Lexington, Patsy Bayles of Fox Valley IL, Edna Silverton of KY and Carolyn Sue Woods of Florida.
REECIE ANN BAYLES
- Services for Reecie Bayles were Saturday at Reeds Chapel with Charles Thomason officiating. Burial was in Lewis Cemetery. Mrs. Bayles, 74, died Thursday night at Jackson General. She was a Lexington native and lived most recently in Jackson. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She leaves a son, Johnny of Jackson; five daughters, Georgia Ann Bradford of Yuma, Evelyn Burkhead of Lexington, Edna Ritchie of Adairville KY, Patsy Hart of Maywood IL and Carolyn Sue Woods of Holly Hill FL; two brothers, William Lawton Hale of Milan and Charles Hale of KY; four sisters, Willodean Hale of Lexington, Nadine Morris of Jackson, Flora Jane Rushing of Camden and Raymell Flynn of AL; two half sisters, Amanda Hale and Irene Hale both of Memphis, 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
WILLIAM J. BEATON
, aged 72 years, 4 months, and 6 days, died Tuesday morning (15 February 1916) at 1:10 o'clock at the home of his son, W. H. Beaton, where he had lived about twenty years, for Mr. Beaton was at least a semi-invalid that length of time. He is survived by his wife and two sons, W. H. and A. L., both of whom live in Lexington, all living together. Mr. Beaton moved to Lexington from Benton County about fifteen years ago, since which time the family has lived temporarily both in Jackson and Paducah, the son of W. H. being an employee of the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway. The family has made many good friends in Lexington who sympathize with them in the loss of one to whom they have been markedly devoted. The funeral service was held in the Beaton home at 2 o'clock, Tuesday, Rev. S. B. Stephens officiating after which the remains were interred in Lexington Cemetery.
DWIGHT WAYNE (TUKUM) BROWNING
was born in Cedar Grove TN March 26, 1958. He departed this life on Sept. 4, 2011 at Hattiesburg MS. He is survived by his mother Mrs. Doris Buckley of Cedar Grove; four brothers, Kerry, Terry, James and Joe Buckley; a son Julius Parker of Lexington; and a daughter Tasha Holder of Huntingdon. A memorial service will be held Sat. Sept. 10, 2011 at Cedar Grove CHurch of God and Christ, Cedar Grove at 1 p.m. Due to circumstances only memorial memorabilia, live flowers or monetary donations will be accepted.
EMMETT JOHNSON BRUCE
- Services were Saturday at Reeds Chapel with teh Rev. B.H. Gossett and Dr. E.E. Deusner officiating. Burial was in Farmville Cemetery. Mr. Bruce, 88, died Thursday at the home of his daughter at Wildersville. He was a retired farmer and a
Baptist. He leaves two sons, Clifton ruce and Jones both of Lexington and a daughter Mrs. Addie Mae Parker of Wildersville.
BETTY JEAN (GARNER) BRUNTZ
, 81, of Huron died Oct. 21, 2011 at her home. She is survived by 2 daughters, Trudy Bostic and Peggy Lewis, a daughter-in-law, Linda Bruntz Thompson, 4 sons, Donnie, Raymond, Danny and Rusty Bruntz, 2 sisters Bonnie Ltham and Linda Bell, a brother George Garner and 13 grandchildren. She ws preceded by her companion Freddy Woods, a son Richard and sisters, Gloria Yelverton and Lucy Blackstock. Funeral services Monday Oct. 24, 2011 at Reeds Chapel and burial following in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
CAROL ANN (BLANKENSHIP) BURKE
- Services were Saturday at Sand Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Conyer Walker and Harry Birlew officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Reeds Chapel in charge. Mrs. Burke, 48, did Thursday (18 Sept. 1986) at Jackson Hospital after a months illness. She was a Henderson County native, a secretary of Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Lexington and a Baptist. She leaves her husband, Harry Burke Jr. of Lexington; two daughters, Amy Blankenship and Sherry Coleman both of Lexington; two sons Gary and Steve both of Lexington; her mother and stepfather Estelle Sego McPeake
and Cecil A. McPeake of Lexington; a sister, Betty McCord of Lexington and four grandchildren.
HARRY E. BURKE
, 92, of Lexington passed away Friday June 27, 2008 at Westwood Healthcare in Decaturville. Rev. Burke was the son of the late Robert and Josie (Lowrance) Burke. He was the husband of Thelma (Autry) Burke who survives him. Other survivors include; a daughter, Suzanne (Tony) Johnson of Bartlett; five sons Harry E. (Claudia) Burke Jr. of Lexington, Jerry (Barbara) Burke of Tupeolo MS, Bill (Cookie) Burke of Lexington, Tom (Beth) Burke of Lexington, Ed (Jamie) Burke of Lexington; two step sons Jimmy (Mary Ann) Anderson of GA, John Allen (Ann) Anderson of Lexington: a step son-inlaw, Tommy Fesmire of Linden. He is also survived by numerous grandchidlren. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Linda Sue Fesmire. Services were Monday June 30, 2008 at Reeds with Rev. Jerry Hassell officiating. Burial followed in Lexington Cem.
THELMA (AUTREY) ANDERSON BURKE
- Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Anderson Burke wer Tuesday Jan. 5, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Rev. Stan McDaniel officiating. Burial followed in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Burke, 92, died Sunday in Parsons. She was born Oct. 17, 1917 in Poplar Springs to the late William Lester and Susie Utley Autry.
She was a retired Dental Assistant and Secretary for Dr. Maurice Bateman and a member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington. Mrs. Burke loved her family. She was preceded by two husbands, Alton Anderson and Harry Burke Sr; her daughter Linda Fesmire; her stepmother, Bertha Autry and her two half brothers Faye Autry and W.L. Autry Jr. Mrs. Burke is survived by her two sons, John Allen Anderson (Ann) Of Lexington and Jimmy Anderson (Mary Ann) of Lawrenceville GA; her son-in-law, Tommy Fesmire of Linden; and four grandchildren.
