ANN TAYLOR MALLORY , aged 82 years, met a tragic death on July 12, 1925, she being run over by an automobile while crossing he street near her own home in Denton TX. Mrs. Mallory was a sister of he late Judge John M. Taylor and with her husband Dr. P.H. Mallory, went to Texas 40 some years ago. Mrs. Mallory visited back here many years ago and we remember her as a splendid woman.

JIMMY C. MAPLES - Funeral services fo r Jimmy Maples age 35, were July 18, 2009 at Chapel Hill Baptist CHurch. Burial followed in the Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Maples died Wednesday in Lexington.He was born Feb. 19, 1974 in Jackson. He was assistant manager at Walmart North in Jackson and a member of Chapel Hill CHurch. Survivors include his wife, Valerie Holmes Maples of Lexington, his two daughters, Kaylee Grace and Laney Claire Maples of Lexington, his parents, Clarence and Patsy Ozment Maples of Mercer, a brother Dan (Marie) Roberson of Brownsville, two sisters Amy Leonard of Lexington and Elicia (Tommy) Smith of Medon, and a great aunt, Odessa Austin of Henderson.

COY MARTIN - Funeral services for Coy Martin of Mossville were Monday Sept. 7, 2009 at Mossville United Meth. Church. Mr. Martin age 84, a WW IIArmy Veteran, died on Thursday Sept. 3, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 28, 1925 in Henderson County the son of Lester and Reba (Hart) Martin. He married Alice Jean Thompson Feb. 22, 1947 in Corinth Miss. Surviving are his wife, and children Randy J. of Clinton and Jan Reed of Chillicothe IL. Also surviving are his grandchildren Christopher Martin of Ft. Myers FL, Lauren Martin of Clinton IL and JOnathan Reed of Chillicothe.

JAMES EARL MARTIN , age 88, passed from this life on Sept. 2, 2011 in Hermitage TN. He was born June 18, 1923 to Earl and Sue Martin of Lexington TN. He was a proud veteran of WW II and served in the rmy Air Corp during the European Campaign. He flew a total of 63 missions over Europe aboard a B 26 Bomber, serving as navigator and gunner. Upon his return \, he attended the University of TN and graduated from Knoxville with a degree in civil engineering. After graduation he went to work for the Missouri Pacific RR. He retired in 1985 from the Houston Belt and Terminal in Houston TX. He was married Sep. 1, 1961 to Ruby Gustason originally of Dwight KS. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruby,, his parents, Earl and Sue Martin, a sister Doris Sellers. Services were Tuesday Sep. 6, 2011 at Reeds Chapel with burial following in the Lexington City Cem.

JOHN ROBERT MARTIN - Services for John Robert Martin were Wednesday at Pafford Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Hinson officiating. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery. Mr. Martin, who was 96, died Saturday night at Lexington Methodist Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Henderson County, a retired teacher and farmer and a Methodist. He leaves his son, Thomas Martin and a daughter, Opal Snyder, both of Salem, Ore.

LOUIS J. MARTIN , 73, were conducted from Mt. Moriah Methodist Church last Thursday by the Rev. Warren. Mr. Martin was a former merchant and saw mill operator of Reagon. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Ada Buck Martin, he is survived by a son Lester Martin of Lexington; three daughters, Mrs. Tom Stanfill and Mrs. Raymond Taylor of Reagan and Mrs. Curtis Montgomery of Jackson; a brother, M.J. Martin, Reagan and a sister Mrs. J. E. Segerson of Reagan. Twelve Granchildren. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

THOMAS MARTIN , was born on April 11, 1932 in Henderson County near Scotts Hill. He passed away in Jackson July 8, 2011 after a long struggle with heart disease. He was the son of Tommie and Carmen Kennedy Martin and the oldest of four children. He was preceded by his parents and his two brothers, Billy and Jerry Martin. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Knight; two daughters, Kay Roberts of Bolivar and Sandy Smith of Scotts Hill; a sister Elizabeth James of Niceville FL; five grandchildren. Thomas was married at a young age and was a very hard worker. He worked in many different jobs to support his family during really hard times. He worked in farming, timber, on the pipeline, maintenance work for the school and as a mechanic which he enjoyed most. His main beliefs were going to Church, to be honest and to always be kind and help others. His strong belief in prayer helped him through his illness over the years. He enjoyed attending Church, fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends, going to auctions, his dog Buddy and visiting with friends in his shop. He also loved telling stories about old times with anyone who would listen.

BILLY J. MAYS - Funeral services for Mr. Billy J. Mays, age 76, were Monday, April 6, 2009 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Vaughn Hamm officiating. Burial followed in Darden Cemetery. Mr. Mays died Saturday in Darden. He was born August 22, 1932 in Henderson County to the late Elvis and Ada Vineyard Mays. He was a retired employee of MagneTak and a Korean Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Mary Helen Mays of Darden, his son, James K. Mays of Darden, his daugther, Judy Mills of Bath Sprigns, his sister, Faye Mercer of Ecru, MS. four grandchildren, Daniel Bradfield, Jamie Mays, Rodney Hopper, and Tashia Rosson, and six great grandchildren, Chrissy, Ethan, Evan, Mason and Jarod.

REV. R.C. MAYS , 83 of Clarksville, passed from this life on March 27, 2011 at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. He was founder and pastor of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Clarksville for 40 years. He was born August 6, 1927 in Decatur County. He was preceded by his parents, Rufus Clarence Mays and Bertha Magnolia Lancaster of Parsons; two sisters, Mable Mays and Evelyn Reeves; three brothers, Dewey, Royce and Lloyd Mays. He is survived by his wife, Doris. They would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 27, 2011. Also, survived by one brother Leroy of Nashville; four children, Carolyn Batson, Michael of Lexington, Loren of Clarksville, Marilyn Roberts of McCombs MS and 11 grandchildren. He was a 1946 graduate of Parsons High School. He received his Masters of Theology from International University of Biblical Studies, Parkersburg WV. Rev. Mays pastored several churches including Darden Pentecostal, Iron Hill Pentecostal of Parsons and founder of Calvary Tabernacle which is now New Life APostolic CHurch in Nashville. He served as TN district superintendent for the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ Organization for approximately 20 years. Servfices will be March 30, 2011 at the church with the Rev. Bobby Ritchey officiating.

TONY McGILL - Services for Tony McGill, age 56, were Sept. 12, 2011 at Sand Ridge Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McGill died Friday at his home. He was preceded by one sister Kay Nell Neely. He died Thursday at his home in Lexington. He was born November 23, 1934 in Schultern Germany to the late Alfred and Anna Haffner Miltenberger. He was a retired tool marker, a US Army Veteran and a master mason. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Miltenberger of Lexington; three sons, Jim of Lexington, Larry of Gays IL and Erie of Toledo IL; three daughters, Brenda Buger of Mt. DENNIS MYRACLE - The body of Pvt. Dennis L. Myracle, whose next of kin is listed as Robert L. Myracle of Wildersville, is among the 5,864 American war dead returned from Europe aboard the Army transport Lawrence Victory. Those originally interred in military cemeteries in France have been returned. Pvt. Myracle was killed in the assault on the Normandy beaches in June 1944. The body will be shipped to the Memphis distribution center from which it will be returned to Henderson County.

JOHN W. MYRACLE - Services for J.W. Myracle were Tuesday at Pafford Funeral Home with the Rev. David Cooper officiating. Burial was in Jones Cemetery. Mr. Myracle, who was 63, died Monday morning at the Veterans Hopspital in Memphis. He was an electrician and a veteran of WWII. He leaves his wife, Mrs. June Lunsford Myracle; a daughter, Shirley Myracle; a son, Ricky Myracle; his mother, Sadie Myracle; a brother, Carl Myracle; and two grandchildren, all of Lexington.

MARGIE (REED) MYRACLE - was the daughter of the late J. T. Reed and Wilbur Davis Reed. She was a homemaker and a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church. She loved her family and was an excellent wife, mother, and Christian. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Reed and an infant son, Tommy Reed Myracle. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Mr. Junior Myracle; her two sons, Barney Myracle (Pam) and Dudley Myracle (Gina) all of Lexington; her daughter, Teresa Clark (Frank) of Union City; four brothers, Edward Reed and Larry Reed of Memphis, Jack Reed of Chesterfield and Dana Reed of Millington; her sister, Dorothy Smith of Millington; six grandchildren, Brad Myracle, Jeanna Cocke, Reed Clark, Ross Clark, Molly Britt and Allison Myracle and four great grandchildren.

MARY (DENNISON) MYRACLE , age 87 years, was born in Henderson County, a daughter of the late Robert R. & Nancy (Walker) Dennison, and lived her life not far from the spot where she was buried in Union Cemetery, near Chesterfield Feb. 23, 1931. She passed away under the roof where she had lived with her only child, Mrs. Nonie Johnson. Mrs. Myracle was twice married, first to Frank Reed who was killed by the accidental discharge of his own gun while on a bear hunt in 1874. Mrs. Nonie Johnson was the fruit of this couple. Mrs. Myracle had no children by her second husband, the late Pinkney Myracle who died 31 years ago in the old home in Decatur County but near the Henderson County line. Of the immediate family of her father, she is survived by none except Fayette Dennison, a brother of the Chesterfield community. She was an aunt of Judge W.H. Denison and a first cousin of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. McCall, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Bray and Mrs. W.V. Barry of Lexington. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and the funeral service was conducted by Rev. Fleetwood Ball, W.F. Boren and G.G. Joyner.

EDNA LEE (BOWMAN) MYRACLE - Funeral services for Edna Myracle were Feb. 1, 2010 at Second Baptist Church with burial in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Myracle, 83, of Lexington died THursday Jan. 28, 2010 at her daughters house in Lexington. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter Charlotte (Joe) Inman of Lexington. She wa preceded by her parents Joe and Alpha Gulledge Bowman and her husband Hearl L. Myracle and brothers Walton and Roy Bowman.

PATRAY (REID) MYRACLE - Services for Mrs. Patray Reid Myracle, 72, former Lexington resident, were conducted Monday afternoon from National Funeral Home n Memphis by the Rev. Ralph McIntyre. Mrs. Myracle died Saturday of a heart attack. She left Lexington in 1926 to maker her home in Memphis. Mrs. Myracle was the daughter of the late Judge S. Reid and was a neice of J.F. Reid of Lexington. She is survived by two children, Mrs. L.F. Taggert and Phillip Myracle both of Memphis; a sister. Mrs. F.H. Reed of Millington; two brothers O.C. Reid and W.C. Reid both ofMemphis. Three grandchildren also survive.

ROBERT LAWTON MYRACLE , age 84 died after a long illness on Friday Jan. 8, 2010 at the Oakhaven Home. He was born on Dec. 28, 1925 to the late John Pinckley and Laur Jamima Kee Myracle. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Page Myracle to whom he was married for 62 years and his brother James Lois Myracle. He is survived by hischildren Judy (Wyne) Bowman and Jerry (Belinda) Myracle with 5 grandchildren, a sister Beth Taylor Webb. He was a retired farmer and also an avid racing fan. He enjoyed collecting and restoring old cars, however his greatest joy was his family.He was also known by the nickname "Toad" but most affectionately called "Papa" by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Burial in Parkers Crossroads.

VELMA / THELMA MYRACLE , Services for Velma (Thelma) Lee, 4 year old daughter of Mr.a nd Mrs. Robert Myracle, Lexington were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Lexington Church of Christ by Joe Cooke Van Dyke. The child died at Jackson General Hsp. Saturday of tetanus. She had suffered a stone bruise on her heel and had been carried to the hospital Tuesday. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister Alice. Burial in Lexingtn Cemetery with Pafford Funeral Home in charge.
