- Services for Francis Majure were May 25, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Burial in Fellowship Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Manjure, 80, died Friday in Parsons. He was a retired reg. Mgr. for Western Union and a retired Administrator for the TN Dept. of Health and a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife Lee Lockhart Majure of Scotts Hill; his son Robert Gregg Majure of Phoenix AZ; his daughter Gay Majure Walker of Jackson and two grandchildren.

- Services for Mrs. A.A. (Matilda) Manley, 86, were conducted Thursday from Independence by the Rev. H.B. Burress and Rev. W.A> Spain. Mrs. Manley died Tuesday (4 Sep 1951) at her home at Huron. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church, and was born and reared in Henderson County. Her husband, A.A. Manley died seven years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lola Milam; four stepsons, Cecil and Lonnie of Independence; Burley of Painsville OH, and Ernest Fanning of Trenton; three stepdaughters, Mrs. W.F. Gurley at Lexington, Mrs. Leonard Powers of Humboldt and Mrs. Dolly King of Dyer. Three grandchildren also survive. Burial was in Independence Cem.
BESSIE (CRAVEN) MANLEY
- Services for Mrs. Bessie Craven Manley were Monday afternoon at Pafford Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Coleman officiating. Burial was in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Manely, who was 73, died Sunday morning at Lexington Hospital shortly after a heart attack. She lived in Henderson County until moving to Carroll County a few months ago. She was a Presbyterian. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Keen of Cedar Grove, a brother, K. T. Craven of California and a sister, Mrs. Launa Cox of near Jackson.
BOBBY LEE MANLEY
- Services are today, Wednesday, March 31, 1999 2 p.m. at Pafford Funeral home with burial in Independence cemetery. Mr. Manley, 63, died Monday March29, 1999 at his residence. He was a retired manager of the tire shop of Madison Farmers Co-op. He leaves his mother Mrs. Loris Manley; a sister, Eunice Martin of Bradford TN.

- Services for Carl W. Manley were Tuesday at Pafford Funeral Home with burial in Independence Cemetery. Mr. Manley, who was 91, died early Sunday night at Lexington Methodist Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of the Blue Goose community, a retired farmer and a Methodist. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Maude Gurley of Lexington.

community Friday afternoon (11 January 1952) after a short illness. Born and reared in this county, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice Manley. He was married to Miss Bessie Craven in 1908. He was a member of the Poplar Springs Church. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Johnny DeBerry; a brother, Carl Manley and a ssister, Mrs. Elvis Gurley, all of the community. Burial was in Independence Cem.

- Services for Ms. Gerdie Olean Manley were Sunday at Pafford Funeral Home with burial in Independence Cemetery. Ms. Manley, who was 75, died Friday, January 8 at Forest Cove Nursing Home. She was a homemaker. She leaves her mother, Mrs. Loris Gurley Manley of Lexington; a sister, Eunice Martin of Bradford; a brother, Bobby Manley of Lexington.

Mrs. Manley, who was 62, died Tuesday morning at Lexington Hospital. She leaves a brother, James Woods of Lexington and three sisters, Mrs. Estelle Stegall, Mrs. Rodie Woods and Mrs. Lens Maness, all of Lexington.
JERRY WAYNE MANLEY
- Services for Jerry Manley age 63, were May 1, 2011 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Mark McCasling officiating. Burial followed in Independence Cemetery. Mr. Manley passed away Friday in Jackson. He was born Jan. 7, 1948 in Henderson County to the late Howard Clifton and Virginia Ruth (Britt0 Manley. He was a retired Sears employee, working in the service department. He was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist and enjoyed bowling, playing softball and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Lillie Mae Rhodes of Blue Goose; two brothers, Jack of Jackson and Larry Joe of Alamo.

- Funeral services for Mrs. W. L. Manley, 40 years of age, were conducted Monday afternoon from Poplar Corner Pentecostal Church by Lester Goff of Scotts Hill. Mrs. Manley died at her home near Wildersville Sunday after a prolonged illness. She had been ill three years. She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Dodd Hall of Blytheville, Ark., Mrs. Frances Little, Memphis, Mrs. S. Campbell, Wildersville, Misses Kathleen and Carolyn Manley. Mr. Manley, who was 89, died Tuesday at Jackson General Hospital. He was a native of Henderson County, a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Loris Gurley Manley of Lexington; a son, Bobby Manley of Lexington; two daughters, Miss Olean Manley of Lexington and Mrs. Eunice Martin of Bradford; two brothers, Burley Manley Sr. of Jackson and Cecil Manley of Fontana, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Manley, who was 98, died Sunday, October 29 at Milan General Hospital of heart failure. She was a homemaker. She leaves a daughter, Eunice Martin of Bradford, Tn.; two sisters, Lottie Carpenter and Leo Gardner, both of Murfreesboro; a brother, Lyle Gurley of Lexington, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
RUTH HAZEL (ODELL) MANLEY

Mrs. Manley, who was 82, died Thursday at Lexington Manor Nursing Home. She was a retired store clerk and the widow of Thomas Manley. She leaves two daughters, Margie Nell Wilkinson and Mrs. Ann Beecham, both of Huron and two grandsons.

Mr. Manley, who was 78, died Wednesday morning at Lexington Manor Nursing Home. He was a retired employee of the Henderson County Highway Department and a WWII Army veteran. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Manley of Huron; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Ann Beecham and Mrs. Margie Nell Wilkinson, both of Huron; two sisters, Mrs. Peggy Gebhart of Foley, Mo., and Mrs. Ruth Machens of Falls Church, Va.; two brothers, Clyde Manley of Caruthersville, Mo., and Glen Manley of Union City and two grandsons.
VANNIE PEARL (McMINN) MANLEY
- Funeral services for Mrs. Vannie Pearl Manley were held Sunday, October 3, 1981 at 2:pm at Independence Church of Christ near Blue Goose with Rev. Allen Vancil of Caruthersville, MO officiating. Interment was in the Independence Cemetery with H. S. Smith Funeral Home of Lexington in charge. She was born in Milan, Tenn. on June 9, 1891. Departed this life in the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti, MO, on October 1, 1982. She was 91. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Curtis McMinn. She attended Smyrna school near Blue Goose. On May 15, 1902 she married Ivy Glophus Manley. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1960. Mrs. Manley moved from Tennessee to Pemiscot Co. with her family in 1938. She was a member of the Eastwood Memorial Methodist Church. She was survived by 5 sons; Mr. Thomas Manley, Huron, Mr. James Manley, Caruthersville, MO., Mr. Glenn Manley, Union City, Mr. I. G. Manley and Mr. Clyde Manley both of Caruthersville, MO. 3 daughters, Mrs. B. D. Anderson, Huron, Mrs. William H. Machens, Falls Church, VA., and Mrs. Lester Gebhardt of Foley Missouri. One brother, Mr. Otha McMinn of Memphis, 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Pall bearers were Larry Manley, Jack Manley, Jerry Manley, David Manley, Ronnie Manley and Lester Gebhardt, (all grandsons).

Mrs. Manley, who was 79, died Thursday, February 20, at Jackson Specialty Unit. She was a housewife and the widow of Howard C. Manley. She leaves three sons, Jerry Manley of Beech Bluff, Jack Manley and Larry Manley, both of Jackson; a brother, James H. “Junior” Britt of Memphis; three sisters, Ted Cox of Jackson, Jo Anderson and Sue VanCleave, both of Memphis and three grandchildren.

Mr. May, age 82, of Bowling Green KY, formerly of Scotts Hill, passed away Wednesday in Bowling Green. He was born Sept. 3, 1927 in Kimper KY to the late Dover and Ella Jean Bevins May. He was a retired Timber Buyer, a Veteran, and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded by his daughter, Luann May. Survivors include his wife Pat May; three sons, Jack L. Jr. of Louisville KY, J. Dean May of Bowling Green, and John D. May of Southaven MS; two daughters, Theresa Milby ofLouisville KY and Ella Jean Scott of Sardis TN; one sister Nell Taylor of Meta KY and ten grandchildren.

- Services were Dec. 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. McEarl of Luray died Friday Dec. 17, 2010 in Jackson. He was retired from P & G, raised cattle, was a veteran of the US Navy and was a member of 1st Baptist. He is survived by his wife Belinda, a son Brandon McEarl of Lexington; two grandchildren; four sisters, Wanda McClain of Selmer, Shirley Campbell of Lexington, Linda Massengill of Reagan and Brenda McAdams of Huron. He was preceded by his parents A.B. and Ida McEarl and four brothers, J.T., Brian, Raymond and William McEarl.
MADGELEAN (BLEDSOE) McEARL
- age 82, died on Jan. 6, 2012 in Huron. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Prather, a brother J.B. Bledsoe; 3 sisters; Mavine Russell, Maxine Flowers, and Mabel Ethridge and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents Ezra and Zephia Bledsoe; husband WIlliam H. McEarl; a son, Tommy Ray Sparks and a sister Nelly Stegall. Serives at Poplar Corner Cemetery Jan. 8, 2012.

- Services for Michael Menzies age 49, will be at Timberlake Grove Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Saturday Feb. 6, 2010. Mike passed away Sunday Jan 31 2010 at his home in Lexington. He was born July 8, 1960 in Lexington and was employed byLeroy Somer. He was preceded by his Aunt Joanne Henry and his parents Jewell and Willie T. Menzies. He is survived by a daughter LaKeisha (Terrence) Taylor, a son Michael B. Menzies, a brother Jerry and a sister Beverly Kay Mays. He leaves behind grandaughters Brooklyn M. Menzies and Teneisha N. Taylor, a grandson Lamonnnnnnnnnnnte S. Taylor, a niece ANgela Kay Mays and a newphew Cadaro Staten.
MARINE MERRETT
, age 82, of Dayton, Ohio journeyed to her eternal resting place on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Marine was born in Lexington, Tennessee to the union of Walter Cathey, Sr., and Willie Mae Douglass, the granddaughter of renowned abolitionist, Frederick Douglass.
Marine received her primary education in the Lexington, Tennessee public school system after which she moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan, and later to Dayton, Ohio.
Marine worked many years in the janitorial/food service industries, and later as a domestic worker. She was a lifelong member of Prayer Garden Church of God in Christ, under the late Elder James J. McMahon, Sr., and served on the Usher Board.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jessie Merrett; three brothers, Matthew Cathey of Benton Harbor, Michigan; Maxcell Cathey of Vallejo, California, and Walter Cathey, Jr., of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Norma Buchanan of Dayton, Ohio; a loving sister in law, Claudine Mines of Atlanta, Georgia; a loving nephew, Paul Buchanan Sr., of Dayton, Ohio, and best friend, Elgean Cospy of Dayton, Ohio.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory five children; Anthony Merrett; Marcus Merrett; Renee Merrett; Theresa (Kenneth) Young, all of Dayton, Ohio, and Michelle Merrett of Hamilton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and one aunt, Audie Mae Cathey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday June 10, 2011 at St. Paul Global Outreach Ministries, 2050 Germantown Street, at 12:00 pm, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior from 11:00 am- 12:00pm. Burial to follow at West Memory Gardens.
JUDITH RAE MEYER
, age 73, of Lexington died Friday May 27, 2011 at her home. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and other various organizations which included Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Civic League, the West TN Mental Health Asssoc., Ladies Intercity Golf Assoc., Sunday SchoolSuperintendent, Substitute Teacher and led numerous charitable drives. She was born in Arlington Heights, IL an dmoved to Lexington from PalatineIL in September 1962. She enjoyed tole painting, gardeninc, golf, traveling, crafts, the Tennessee Vols, and her many friends and her family at home. She is survived by her husband Richard Meyer, 4 children, Steve Meyer of Lexington, Suzane Click of Maryville, Sherrill Schaffer of Knoxville and Scott Meyer of Lexington and nine grandchildren. They request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the food pantry at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington, 27 E. CHurch St. Lexington TN. Our family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff at Henderson Community Hospital and Reda Hayes with Unity Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to our mother. We appreciate you all more than you will ever know.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Sandra Kay Milholen of Wildersville; three sons, Mitchell Gale Milholen of Topeka KS, Gale and RObert of Wildersville; one daughter, Margaret Lynn Hartman; eight brothers, Kenneth, Dale, Lynn, Mitchell, Elijah, Dennis, Joe and Isaac Milholen; four sisters, Vera Mae Seachrist, Jewell Goodman, Mary Roberts, and Martha Alford and 19 grandchildren.

Burial followed in Jones Cemetery. Mrs. Milholen passed away early Friday in Lexington. She was born May 2, 1941 in Knoble, AR to the late Odell and Helen Anders Ray. She was a retired truck driver for Alan Ritchey Trucking. She was preceded by her son, Jimmy Smith Milholen and a grandson Jimmy Dale Milholen. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Dale Milholen of Wildersville; her son, Dalewayne Milholen of Wildersville; a daughter Glenda Shankle (Terry) of Trenton; six grandchildren and three great=grandchildren. Mrs. Morris who was 90, died Tuesday at Mary Sherman Hospital in Sullivan IN. She had lived in Sardis before moving to Shelburn IN, several years ago. She leaves her husband, Asa Morris; a son, Norris Morris of Nashville; seven daughters, Mrs. Gladys Hawkins of Shelburn, Mrs. Naomi Barnett of Terre Haute, IN, Mrs. Willard Presley and Mrs. Juanita Rhodes, both of Sardis, Mrs. Nell Petty of Memphis, Mrs. Reba Sabarese of Glen Rock, N.J. and Mrs. Jean Stutze of Evansville IN; 21 grandchildren, 30 greats and a great great grandchild.
