PRESTON S. ODLE
- Services for Preston S. Odle were Sunday at First Baptist Church with Dr. E. E. Deusner, the Rev. Earl Owens and G. T. Stewart officiating. Burial was in Lexington Cemetery with Pafford Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Odle, 61, died soon after arrival at Lexington Hospital Friday following a heart attack. He was a native of Henderson County, a Baptist and one of the first employees of Salant and Salant where he was a mechanic. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hessie Reeves Odle of Lexington; a son, Bobby Odle of Chicago; a stepson, Utley (Putt) Tolley of Lexington; four daughters, Mrs. Pattye McCollum of Tokyo, Japan, Mrs. Guy Nichols, Mrs. Gordon Lindsey and Mrs. Carol Maness, all of Lexington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Margaret Davis of Memphis; a brother, J. C. Odle of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Bilderback and Mrs. Edward Mullins, both of Lexington and 14 grandchildren.

BONNIE O'GUINN
- Services for Bonnie O'Guinn were Feb. 8, 2011 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hare Cemetery. Mrs. O'Guinn, age 70, died Monday in Lexington. She was preceded by one daughter, Murel Ann Perry; a brother, Kyle Warren; three sisters, Sarah Culbertson, Mary Gordon and Shirley Morgan. Survivors include her husband Thomas Ray O'Guinn of Reagan; her daughter, Donna Sharp of Alamo; one brother, Kenneth Warren of Linden; four sisters, Ruth Moody of Reagan, Olene Sharp of Murray City, Linda Warren of Alamo and Janice Frazier of Scotts Hill and three grandchildren.

BILLY E. OLIVE
- Funeral services for Mr. Billy E. Olive, 78, were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2007, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Rev. John D. Small officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery near Parkers Crossroads. Mr. Olive, the son of the late John Bailey and Evelena Walker Olive, died early Sunday, September 23, 2007 in Jackson. He was a Korean Army veteran and a lifelong resident of Parkers Crossroads. Mr. Olive served his community in many ways, whether as a business owner, merchant, city commissioner, farmer, charter Ruritan Club member or as a supervisor of Jones Cemetery. Survivors include two nieces: Rita Owen (Ronnie) and Darla Olive of Parkers Crossroads; a great niece, Tiffany Olive of Livingston; a great nephew, Bobby Olive (Cindy) and their children: Madison and Peyton all of Lexington.

JULIA ANN LUCINDA (TAYLOR) OLIVE
was born September 18, 1860 and died May 10, 1944 aged 83 years. She was married to Homer L. Olive in 1886, who preceded her three years ago. The couple had eight children, with two dying in infancy. Surviving children are John, Sam, Orb, and Ivory, all of the home place; Mrs. C.B. Pendergrass, this county and Mrs. C.L. barnett of Huntingdon; one brother Bud Taylor, one half brother, Joe Taylor, Hot Springs AR and one half-sister, Emma Taylor of Bruceton. Rev. D.A. Bishop conducted the funeral services at Rock Springs Cemetery.

WILLIAM JESSE OLIVE
- was born Feb. 25, 1861 - died Jan. 8, 1944 aged 82 years. He was married to Miss Betty Lyon in 1891. She preceded him to the grave in 1926. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. JessieMae Parker and Mrs. Ophelia Beal. He was later married to Mrs. Emily Tate in 1928. He was kind and devote dto his family, a splendid neighbor and a good citizen. He was courteous and friendly to all. His funeral was conducted in the home by Elder J. L. Fuller with interment in Jones Cem.

SAMMIE OLIVER
- Services for Mr. Sammie Oliver age 77, are scheduled for Oct. 13, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Fuenral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. Lloyd Blankenship and Bro. Roy Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Oliver passed away Sunday in Parsons. He was born Sep. 15, 1933 in Decatur County to the late William Thomas and Dellar Western Oliver . He was a truck driver for Creasy Hardwoods. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Mrs. Norma Jean of Saltillo, six sons Sammy Oliver of Lebanon OR, Roy Oliver, Darryl Oliver, Jerry Oliver and Thomas Oliver all of Beech Bluff and Roy Flatt of Bath Springs; two daughters, Debbie Westerman of Scotts Hill and Cindy Swinford and eight grandchildren.

XAVIER ORENGO
- Funeral services for Mr. Orengo, age 56, were Sunday Feb. 20, 2011 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial followed in Darden Cemetery. Mr. Orengo, the son-in-law of Ray and Inez Reeves of Darden, died late Tuesday in Knoxville. He served 24 years in the US Army and later was employed by American Healthways in Nashville, Mr. Orengo was preceded in death by his father, Miguel A> Orengo; a half sister, Blanca Orengo; and a grandson, Isaiah. SUrvivors include his wife of 26 years, Susie Reeves Orengo of Maryville TN; two sons, Xavier Orengo II of Japan and Emilio V. Orengo of Maryville; three daughters, Jennifer Lemon of Houston TX, Rita Robinson of Louisiana, Raquel I. Orengo of Maryville; his mother , Rosa Orengo of Amsterday NY and eights brothers, Miguel of Orlando, David, Jose, Ricardo, Adalberto, Gabriel and Edgardo all of Amsterdam NY, Louis Orengo of Tampa FL; one sister Madeline Millan of Amsterday NY and five grandchildren.

EDWARD BENNETT ORIO
, 66, died August 17, 2009 surrounded by family and friends. The son of Harry and Edith Orio, he was raised in Lexington TN. A lifelong Methodist, he served the church as MUF President and counselor at Lakeshore Camp. Ed graduated from the Univ. of Memphis with BS and MA degrees and had completed curriculums for his doctorate in Educational Administration. After serving as an administrator and teacher in Fayette Co. and Dean at Lausanne School, he dedicated his talent, his expertise and his heart, to the University of Memphis, retiring in 2005.
His life's greates passion was Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity where he served all his adult life as a friend, mentor, and true brother. In 2006, Ed received the Fraternity's highest honor the Lambda Chi Alpha Order of Merit. Ed's devotion to God and his love and compassion for his family and friends will be his eternal legacy. He is survived by his beloved sister, Beverly Brooks Romines; brother-in-law Steve Romines; nieces Tara, Jessica, Amanda and cherished cousins. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 am Saturday August 29, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Rev. Stan McDaniel officiating with private graveside services flowing.

EUGENE CLARENCE OSIER
- Services for Eugene Clarence Osier, 69, were conducted Thursday afternoon from Pafford Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Edwin Deusner. Mr. Ozier, formerly a resident of Watertown, N.Y., died early Wednesday morning (19 December 1951) at the home of Mrs. F.M. Davis, where he lived with his son, John B. Ozier. Mr. Ozier had made his home here for the past four months. He was a communicant of the Episcopal Church. Burial was in Lexington Cemetery with Pafford in charge.

- Services for Jessie Faye Overman were Tuesday August 12, 2008 at Mazies Chapel Baptist Church. Burial followed in Hare Cemetery. Mrs. Overman, 67, died Sunday August 10, 2008 at Jackson Hsp. - Services for Mrs. Lily Bartholomew Overman were July 1 at Pafford Funeral Home with Charles Thomason, the Rev. Earl Owens and the Rev. Les Haggard officiating. Burial was in Hare Cemetery. Mrs. Overman died Sunday afternoon at Lexington Hospital after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and a Baptist. - Services for Mr. Overman were May 23, 2011 at Reeds Chapel in Lexington with burial in Crowell Cemetery. Mr. Overman, age 75 passed away May 21, 2011. He was preceded by his parents, Wylie Clayton Overman and Lois Weaver and a sister, Alene Cunningham. He is survived by three children,Linda Peterson, Brenda Johnson and Gary Clay Overman all of Lexington; seven grandchildren; a brother Billy Overman of Lexington and a sister Nellie Sue Burkett of Lexingtonnn and his companion of 30 years, Jamie Greenway of Lexington.

A.Y. OWEN
- Word has reached here of the death of A.Y. Owen, 61, a native Henderson Countian in Oklahoma. Mr. Owen, a linotype operator for a printing company there died January 27, 1947. Born at Juno he was known as Arthur Owen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Owen. Survivors include his wife, a son, A.Y. Owen Jr., four sisters, Mrs. W.T. Pearson,Mrs. R.T. hart and Mrs. A. B. Dickson all of Nashville and Mrs. H.C. Coffman of Jackson MS.

J.L. OWEN
, who lived three miles west of town was stricken with heart failure about four o'clock Tuesday morning (April 7, 1908) and died two hours later. Mr. Owen spent Monday in town as well as usual and the news of his death so soon thereafter came as a shock.
Mr. Owen leaves a second wife and several children to mourn the loss of an excellent husband and father. He was our friend as well as patron and we deeply sympathize with the bereaved family.

- Services for Robert "Bob" Henry Owens were Saturday, April 19, at First Baptist Church, with burial in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home was in charge. Mr. Owens, who was 82, died Wednesday, April 16, at TN State VA Home, Humboldt, Tn. He was a retired Memphis Fire Department employee of 26 years, also supervisor for Woodland Homes, Lexington for 13 years and a painter for 45 years. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jerelene June Owens of Lexington; a son, Robert H. "Robby" Owens of Memphis; two daughters, LaVonda Roberts of Lexington and Valinda Russell of Jackson; a brother, Glynn Owens of Ripley; two sisters, Ollie Fitzgerald of Memphis and Louise Fitzgerald of Collierville; two granddaughters, Tera Roberts and Kelsey Roberts.
