WILLIAM HAROLD PALMER
, Services for Wm. Harold Palmer, age 81, were Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial followed in Barren Springs Cemetery. Mr. Palmer died Thursday at his home in Lexington. He was retired from General Cabel in St. Louis MO. He was preceded in death by his brother, Euther Palmer and his sister, Girneal Palmer Faulkner. Survivors include his wife, Betty Martin Palmer of Lexingtno; his two daughters, Beverly Simpson of Lexington and Belinda Wade of Midlothian TX; one grandchild, Logan Simpson.
HOWARD H. PICKENS
, Funeral services for Howard H. Pickens, 54, were held at National Funeral Home in Memphis, Friday with the Rev. Comer Hastings, pastor of Trinity Methodist Church, officiating. Mr. Pickens died suddenly at his home in Memphis on Wednesday, November 21, 1956. Mr. Pickens whose family lived in Lexington for many years, was a member of the 1921 graduatitiing class of Lexington High. He entered the Naval Academy at Annapolis that same year and graduated in 1925. He later returned to the Academy for post graduate study and for a period of teaching. After serving 16 years in the Navy, Mr. Pickens resigned with the rank of Lieutenant. For the past several years he has served as Engineer with the Postal Department in Memphis. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Sarah and Carol. Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Lola Pickens and Miss Carrie Pickens of Memphis; two brothers John M. of Memphis and James W. Orangeburg SC.
SAMUEL E. POISALL III
, died June 26, 2009 at his home near Lexington.He retired from the US Navy Hospital Medical Core and was a Korean War Veteran. He later worked as a chiropractor. He was preceded by three sisters, Mary Lucille Beck, Katherine Poisal and Patsy Rinne. Survivors include his wife, Martha of Lexington, his son, Samuel E. Poisal IV of Atoka; a sister Frances Barnes of Kerrville TX and four grandchildren.
HAROLD POLLOCK
- Funeral services for Mr. Harold Pollock, age 81, are scheduled for 2 pm Friday Sept. 3, 2010 at First United Pentecostal Church in Lexington with Rev. Bobby Beecham, Rev. David Beecham and Rev. Danny Beecham officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemeery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pollock passed away early Wednesday in Jackson. He was born August 20, 1929 in Henderson County to the late George W. and Ida Wallace Pollock. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Air Force and a retired farmer and school bus driver. He was an active member of First United Pentecostal Church for 50 years and also at Station 6 HCFD and the Jackson Area Plectral Society.
He was preceded by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Vivian Pollock, two sons, Andy and Marty (Ginger) Pollock; one daughter, Nila (Alvin) Singleton; one brother Dennis Pollock; two sisters Carmon Hart and Mary Ella Holmes; six grandchildren, Drew, Cassie and Bree Pollock and Andrea Beth (David) Thomas, Adam and Kyle (Kalyn) Singleton, and one great grandaughter, Kassidy Pollock.
The family will receive friends today from 10 am until 9 pm at Pafford Funeral Home and on Friday from 10 am until 2 pm at First United Pentecostal Church in Lexington.
THOMAS ALLEN POLLOCK
- Services for THomas Allen Pollock, age 76, will b Wednesday June 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Dr. Hoyt Wilson, Bobby Beecham, and Bro. Robert Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Pollock, the son of the late Willie A. and Velma Ruth (Brantley )Pollock, died Monday June 21, 2010 in Lexingtno. He was retired from Johnson Controls and an avid outdoorsman who ejoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his three sons Lynn (Teresa) Pollock of Lexington, Glynn (Sheilla) Pollock and Denny (Tina) Pollock of Huron; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
WINNIE EVA (BAILEY) POLLOCK
- Services for Mrs. Winnie Pollock, age 93, and scheduled for Sept. 2, 2011 at Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Elder Fate Britt, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Bailey Cemetery, Pafford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Pollock passed away Tuesday at her home in Lexington. She was born Feb. 23, 1918 in Henderson County to the late Albert Milton and Nancy Mahalia (Scott) Bailey. She was a homemaker and owner of P. * S. Fabric Center. She was known for her love of and talent for sewing, her family and church were most important in her life. She was preceded by her husband George J. Pollock and her son George J. Pollock Jr. Survivors include her son, Mike Pollock; five daughters, Peggy Segerson, Betty Hudson, Diane Britt, Darlene Kuykendall and Brenda King and fifteen grandchildren.
JOSEPH DEAN POTTS
, son of the late J.N. Potts of Henderson County, died Feb. 1, 1944 at his home in Cottonwood Point, MO. He was born January 20, 1874 in Shelbyville, and while a young man came to Henderson County and in later years moved to Pemiscot County MO. In 1901 he was married to Lou Ella Love of Lexington and to this union were born four sons and one daughter; D.L. , Murray and Hopper of Holland MO, Pfc. Vernon Potts of Camp Crowdeer MO, and Mrs. Guy Norris of Steele MO; two sisters Mrs. Nannie Henderson of Holland MO and Mrs. Mollie Pirtle of Lexington. Rev. R.L. Rogers conducted the service at Antioch.
GRACE (WADE) POUNDERS
- Services for Grace Pounders, 86, are scheduled for Oct. 13, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Pounders passed away Sunday in Lexington. She was born Nov. 25, 1923 in Henderson County to the late Madden and Jenny Deere Wade. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. She was preceded by her husband Louis Pounders and survived by several nieces and nephews.
CLYDE PRATER
, Funeral services for Clyde "Sparkplug" Prather, age 63, will be held at 11:00 AM, today, February 20, 2006 at Reed's Chapel - Lexington with burial to follow in Henderson Co. Memory Gardens.
Mr. Prather, a Truck Driver for Reeves Bros. Trucking, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Prather of Lexington; nine sons, David, Richard, James and Larry of TN; Jackie, Jamie, Eddie, Marty and Danny of Miss; two daughters, Melanie and Shannon of Miss.; two brothers, Jimmy and Billy Prather of Miss; five sisters, Carolyn Walls, Betty Foust, Edna Warren, Lillie King, Era Mae Francis; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild. THOMAS EARL PRATER
, age 45, of Reagan died Saturday June 6, 2009 after a sudden illness. He is survived by his wife Kathy Grissom Prater, a son Thomas Blake Prater of Ft. Hood, TX; a daughter Sheidi Jordan of North Carolina; his parents Billy Ray Prater of Parsons and Nadine Prater of Lexington; a brother Mike Prater of Lexington, two sisters Barbara Segraves of Wildersville and Shelia James of Mt. Juliet; and three grandchildren. There were no services nad his family chose cremation.

- Graveside services for Mr. Norman Bryor, age 68, were Friday Dec 3, 2010 at Thornhill Cemetery. He died Monday in Lexington. He was preceded by his wife Virginia and one son Bart Thornhill. Survivors include tow daughters, Linda Pacheco and Tina Thornhill of Lexington; a son, Jeffery Saeburn; four brothers, Mike and David Pryor, Bill Compton and Kenneth Larson; three sisters Ester McClennen, Brenda Chanson and Gearld Dean Compton and 12 grandchildren.
TAMMY LOUISE (BRIGHT) PUCKETT
, 46, beloved wife of Steve Puckett, died on December 9, 2010 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner (New Orleans) Louisiana. Tammy was the daughter of Billy Loyd and Ferri Lernois Hubbard Bright. She was born Octoer 6, 1964 in Lexington TN. She graduated from Lexington Hight School in 1982. She became a registered nurse after graduating from Jackson State Community College in 1994. Tammy and Steve were married for 23 years, married on September 28, 1987 in Madison Co TN. Besides her husband Steve, she leavesher mother, two brothers, Jimmy and Tim Bright, one sister, Felesia Pardon, three nephews , one niece, six brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.
Services were December 15, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Joseph Baker and Bro James McKinney officiating. Burial followed in Emmanuel Cemetery.
