EARL EZRA RAHN - Memorial services for Earl Rahn, age 74, were June 10, 2011 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Mr. Rahn passed away June 7, 2011 in Madison County. Mr. Rahn installed garage doors for over 50 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in Death by one son, Tommy Slagle. Survovors include his wife Maxine of Huron, Two daughters, Robin Bland and Bobbi Covalt and three grandchildren.

MARY ELAINE RANDOLPH - Funeral services will be May 2, 2011 at Reeds Chapel in Lexington and burial in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Randolph age 45, died Sunday May 1, 2011 at Jackson Hospital. She is survived by her parents Eugene and Jolene Randolph of Memphis; three brothers, Rex, Christopher and Adam Randolph all of Memphis.

MILDRED LORENE READ , age 58, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 in Jackson. The family chose cremation. She is survived by her husband, Donald Read, Lexington; five daughters, Sheila Maddox, Shelly Story, Sherri Read, Donna Belanger, all of Lexington, Tabitha Mahan, Nashville and nine grandchildren. She was preceded by two grandsons, Joshua Story and Michael Smith.

J.R. REEDIN - A peculiar happening occurred Wednesday evening of last week at the home of J.R. Reedin. As usual Mr. Reddin retired well and hearty, as early at 6 o'clock, perhaps, and before seven a young man named Georg E Middleton who had come to see a sick boy named Grant Christopher was told to get into bed with Mr. Reddin, which he did. Later but not later than seven o'clock Mrs. Reddin, getting ready to retire in another bed, because of the presence of Middleton, stooped over the bed of her husband to cover his arm, found his hand cold and on further investigation, found Mr. Reddin dead. In fact it was known then that Mr. Reddin was dead at the time Middleton got on the bed with him, for the family had heard the old man make a struggle. Mr. Reddin was what we call a clever man, and a good neighbor.

GEORGE CLIFFORD REEL - Memorial services for George Reel Jr. will be March 19, 2009 at the Tennessee State Museum in Nshville. Mr. Reel died March 13, 2009 at Williamson Medical Center. He was a lifelong educator/historian and served as the Henderson County school superintendent. He was also a U.S. Marine veteran. He is survived by his parents, George Reel Sr. and Robert Jean Duncan Reel of Hendersonville TN, wife, Mary Sneed Reel of Jackson TN; sons Ben ofKnoxville; Matthew of Primm Springs and Lincoln of Jackson; sisters Lisa Connor of Hendersonville; and Lori Boyd of Greensboro NC. He was preceded by his sister, Sara Reel.

HANNAH ELIZABETH MARIE REYNOLDS - Funeral services for Hannah Reynolds, the still born infant of James Reynolds and Crystal Robbins are today July 15, 2009 in the Pafford Funeal Home. Besides her parents survivors include her three brothers, Andrew Mayo, Kevin Sills and Joseph Reynolds; her grandparents Janet Mayo of Lexington , Terry Reynolds and Janice Johnson of Scotts Hill; Great grandparents, Violet Nancy of lexington and Jimmie Belt of Memphis.

BERTHA (CAGLE) ANDERSON RICHARDSON - Funeral services for Mrs. Richardson, age 79, were Friday, December 4, 2009 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Jaco Jr., Bro. Bobby Beecham and Bro. JoeJolly officiating. Burial followed in Independence Cemetery. Mrs. Richardson died late Tuesday in Jackson. She was born February 21, 1930 in Henderson County to the late Robert and Cordie Bybee Cagle. She was a retired employee of Brown Shoe Company and a member of Blue Cross Pentecostal Church. She was preceded by two husbands, Arlon Vestal Anderson Jr. and Vernon Richardson; a brother, Walter Cagle and a half brother Johnny Cagle. Survivors include her two daughters, Bobbie Todd and husband, Danny of Lexington and Judy Carlos and husband Larry of Concord CA; a brother, Alvin Cagle and wife Jo ofLexington; a sister-in-law Dorothy Cagle of Lexington and two grandchildren, Daniel and Michael Carlos.

JOHN FRANKLIN RICHARDSON - Services for John Franklin Richardson, 91, were conducted Thursday from Center Hill Baptist Church by Ellis Scott of Scotts Hill. Mr. Richardson, a native Henderson Countain, died shortly before midnight Tuesday at a Nashville hospital where he had been a patient since March. Born in the Center Hill community Mr. Richardson later lived near Bargerton and in recent years had made his home in Lexington. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Pallbearers were C.F. Goff, John Wilkinson, Terry Wright, Harrison Richardson, W.M. Goff and John Little. Burial was in Center Hill. (03 Mar 1861 - 10 Jun 1952)

DON RICHTER - Services for Don Richter will be March 4, 2009 at Reeds Chapel. The family chose cremation. Mr. Richter age 44, died March 2, 2009 in Lexington. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Hermaning; one sister Doreen Richter of Lexington and one brother Dan Richter of Lexington.

MARGARET (LEWIS) RIDLEY - Graveside services for Mrs. Margaret Ridley age 78, were Thursday June 25, 2009 at Lexington Cemetery Burial followed. Pafford Funeral Home was n charge of arrangements.Mrs. Ridley died late Tuesday in Nashville. She was born September 6, 1930 in Henderson County to the late Pat and Mary E. Murren Lewis. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Ridley was preceded by her husband, James Earl Ridley. SUrvivors include her two sons, Alan Ridley of Linden and Denny of Lexington; two brothers, Georg Lewis of Lexington and Bob Lewis of Wildersville, three sisters, Bertha Stevens and Eva Terry of Lexington and Martha Dural of Dothan AL and four grandchildren.

CARL D. RIMMER - Services for Carl Rimmer will be at Reeds Chapel, Lexington on Wednesday March 23, 2011 with Bro. Greg Stanford officiating. Mr. Rimmer, age 71, of Cedar Grove passed away March 20, 2011 at Maplewood Healthcare, Jackson TN. He was born in Atwood, TN, a son of Lavelle (Tucker) Rimmer of Lexington TN and the late George Rimmer. He was predeceased by his father, two daughters, Tamera Burchett and Sabrina Gibson; four brothers, Atlas, Tom, Gerald and Larry Rimmer. Besides his mother, Carl is survived by a daughter, Kay (Mike) Waugh of Lexington, two sisters, Sandy (Ricky) Wilson of Lexington; Pat (Joe) Runions of IL; a brother, David (Sandra) Rimmer of Atwood and five grandchildren.

JERRY P. ROACH - Services for Jerry Roach were Saturday at Grays Chapel Pentecostal Church. Burial followed in Plesaant Hill. Mr. Roach, age 58, died March 26, 2009 at Decatur Hospital. He was preceded by his father Jack Roach; two brothers, Travis and David Roach; two sisters, Brenda Faye and Charlotte Kay Roach. He is survived by his mother, Marie Roach, Decaturville; two brothers Bobby Roach, Parsons, Johnny Roach, Decaturville.

EZRA GRAY ROBERTSON - Services for Ezra Robertson age 86, were held Saturday July 10, 2010 in the Scotts Hill Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Rainey officiating. Interment followed at the Marl Bluff Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Robertson, the son of the late David Luther and Vessie Brewer Robertson, died late Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in Jackson. Bobby had a long career in law enforcement with over 44 years of service. His service included working with several different sheriffs with Henderson County as a deputy and as a constable and as a sergeant with the city of Lexington. He spent 20 years as a deputy warden and captain of security of the TEnnessee Deparrtment of COrrections. Boby retired from law enforecement after working as an officer for the City of Scotts Hill. He was a long time Mason and an Army veteran of World War II serving in North Africa and Italy. In his spare time, Bobby enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and Atlanta Braves baseball. He is survived by his wife, ROberta Phillips RObertson of Sardis, three daughters; Kay (Allen) Rainey of Atwood, Debbie (Johnny) Bingham of Lexington and Edie (Barry) Stinnett of Sardis; his two sons Phil (Anna) Robertson of Lexington and Gene (Judy) Robertson of Sardis; and fifteen grandchildren.

BETTIE JANE (BOYD) ROBINSON - Funeral services for Bettie Jane Boyd Robinson will be today March 11, 2009 at Murphjy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.Mrs. Robinson, a retired beautician and factory worker, age 81, died Monday March 9, 2009 at Henderson County Hsp. She was preceded by her husband Lucian Robinson; a son, Bob Robinson and a sister, Martha Sue Fuller. Survivors include three daughters, Suzanne Buttrey, Martin TN, Renee Melton, Lexington TN and Janie Robinson Scott, Dyer TN, a sister Ruby Bragg, Martin TN and eleven grandchildren.

ROSA LEE HOLMES ROBY - Services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Holmes Roby, 74, were conducted Saturday from Center Hill by J.H. Kennedy. Mrs. Roby died Friday at the home of her son, Roy Roby, Rev. husband, the late F.J. Roby, preceded heer in death 17 years ago. Mrs. Roby was a believer in the Baptist faith. In addition to her son, she leaves a great-grandson, Kennie Neil Loftin, a sister, Mrs. Dora Hefley. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery with Lexington Funeral Home in charge.

GRAPER D. ROGERS - Funeral services for Mr. Grapher D. Rogers, 77, were Sept. 15, 2009 in the Chapel of Pafford Fuenral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. David Hawley and Bro. Joseph Baker officiating. Burial followed in Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Rogers died Sunday at Westwood Healthcare. He was born Nov. 6, 1931 in Reagan. He was a retired farmer and a US Air FOrce Veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Rogers was preceded by his father Ode Rogers and his brother Charles. Survivors included his wife of 55 years Martha, two daughters, Cathy Carver and Gail Rogers all of Scotts Hill; his mother Mrs. Willie Lee White Rogers Russell of Lexington; his sister Joy Daws Costin of Scotts Hill and three grandchildren.

BURMA SUE (PIERCE) ROGERS - Funeral services for Mrs. Burma Sue Rogers, age 82, were Sunday July 18, 2010 ini the Scotts Hill Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Kirk and Bro. Denny Broadway officiating. Interment in Scotts HillMethodist Cemetery. Mrs. ROgers, the daughter of the late Hubert B. and Mary V. (Jackson) Pierce died Friday July 16, 2010 in Jackson. SHe was retired seamstress with the I Apeal Company and a member of the Trinity Assembly of God in Decaturville TN. She is survived by her two daughters; Regina (Dale) Moody and Susan Hana; her three sons; Dale (Carolyn) Rogers, Randall (Jan) Rogers and David (Janie) ROgers, 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; a sister Mary Jo Glaze and a brother Joel Pierce all of Scotts Hill. Preceding her in death was her husband John Rogers, two sons; Gary and Denny Rogers; her brother Raymond Pierce and a grandchild.

Burial followed in the Union Hill Cem. Mr. Rogers passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 in Jackson TN. He was born Feb. 17, 1967 in Lexington TN. He was owner of Rogers and Son's Construction and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was recently elected as pastor of Concord Baptist Church in Huntingdon, TN. Mr. Rogers was preceded by his father Edward Rogers and a brother, Jimmy Rogers. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Angie Britt ROgers; two sons, Nathan Rogers (Kelli) and Jonathan Tyler Rogers; one daughter, Bethany Parker (Josh); his mother Virgn\inia Grimsley Rogers; three brothers Johnny, Tony and Jeff Rogers; two sisters, June Whitaker and Wanda Jean Pugh and four grandchildren, Aidan, Aniston, Alvia Parker and Bentley Rogers.

Mr. Rogers, age 66, of Scotts Hill, dived Sunday march 22, 2009 at the Lexington Manor. He was a retired factory worker and Baptist minister and a member of the Judson Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Patricia Brewer Rogers; his mother, Virginia Rogers; three daughters Renee Fesmire of Lexington, Tricia Brasher of Reagan and Sara Rogers of Scotts Hill; a sons Timothy of Jackson; two sisters Wanda Pugh of Henderson and June Whitaker ofLexington; four brothers, Johnny of Scotts Hill, Tony of Lexington, Jeffrey andJonathon of Sardis and five grandchildren. He was preceded by his father Edward Rogers.

DR. TAVNER ROGERS - Services for Dr. Tavner Rogers widely known physician of Decaturville were conducted Tuesday from Decaturville Methodist Church. Dr. Rogers who would have been 90 in November died at his home early Sunday. A native of Henderson County he had practiced throughout a two county area since receiving his degree from the University of Tennessee in 1894. In early years he made his calls throughout Henderson and Decatur counties on horseback. In 1948, the Decaturville Civic Club staged a "Dr. Rogers" day, at which time 2,500 "Dr. Rogers babies" paid their respects. The day has become an annual event. He is survived by two children Barney Rogers and Mrs. Hettie Barry; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother Alfred Rogers of Memphis and a sister, Mrs. Martha Todd at Henderson County. Burial was in Scotts Hill.

JOY ROSEL - Funeral services for Mrs. Joy Rosel, age 74, were Monday June 6, 2011 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. David Beecham and Bro. Bobby Beecham officiating. Burial followed in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Rosel passed away June 4, 2011 in Lexington. She was born Jan. 2, 1937 in Jackson MS to the late Rogers Holmes and Nina Stevens Holmes. She was a retired RN from Lexington Hospital and a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Lexington TN, and a college graduate of Mississippi Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Rosel was preceded by her husband Bill Rosel. Survivers include son, Todd Rosel and daughter Teresa Latham and four grandchildren.

R.C. RUMFELT - Services for R.C. Rumfelt were held Friday May 21, 2004 at Reeds Chapel with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Jones Cemetery. Mr. Rumfelt age 79, died Wednesday. May 19 at Regional Hospital in Jackson. He was a retired educator and a U.S. Marines veteran. He is survived by his wife, Nell Olive Rumfelt of Lexington and nieces and nephews.

CURTIS CARL RUSSELL - Graveside services for Curtis Carl Russell were Monday March 2, 2009 at Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Russell, a retired farmer, age 98, died Feb. 28, 2009 at Henderson Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Willie Russell Phillips Lexington TN; one son Sherley Russell, Tupeolo MS; two daughters, Katrina Bostick, Tupelo MS and Faustine Impson TX; one sister Margaret Marly, Huntingdon TN.

I.A. RUSSELL - I.A. Russell, one of the best known citizens of Henderson County, died at his home near Luray, April 22, 1939, and was buried at Nebo Cemetery. Mrs. Russell died many years ago and four children survive from that marriage; Mrs. Robert Winslow of Lexington, Mrs. W.N. Winslow of near Browns Church in Madison County, Finner of Cooter, Missouri, and Edward of Luray.

JERRY WAYNE RUSSELL - Services for Jerry Wayne Russell were June 25, 2011 at Reeds Chapel with Clint Burkhead officiating. Burial followed in Nebo Cemetery. Mr. Russell age 74, died June 22, 2011 in Jackson. He is survived by his wife; Patty Blankenship Russell, a son; Marty Russell of Lexington; two daughters Lori Bruce of Lexington and Kelly of Lexington; a brother, Joe Russell (Bobbie) of Como MS and three grandchildren. LAVAUGHN RUSSELL - Services for Lavaughn Russell, 28, were conducted Thursday from Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jimmie Darnall of McKenzie and the Rev. Elmo Blakney. Mr. Russell died early Wednesday at the HBaptist Hospital, Memphis, after an illness of a month. He had been a patient at Jackson until Monday night when he was rushed to Memphis. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Russell. In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Alexander Russell, a sister, Mrs. Joe Kee of Huron; four brothers Utrey and Clyde of Huron, Ray of SPring Hill and Marvin Russell fo Beech Bluff. Burial was in Maple Springs Cem.
