TONY LEE WADDLE
- Services for Tony Lee Waddle, age 47, were Friday January 21, 2011 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial followed in Palestine Pentecostal Cemetery. Mr. Waddle passed away Tuesday in Lexington. He was born October 20, 1963 in Henderson County and lived here all of his life. He didn't finish highs chool, but later got his GED. He worked at Lexington Metal, the Hwy Dept., dove for mussels at Big Sandy, but last worked at MIG. He was preceded by his father L.T. Waddle. Survivors include his mother, Laura Waddle; his daughter Kimberly, his son Justin Stegall and companion Bridgett Fesmire; his sister Joy Lynn Waddle; his companion, Jennifer Holder and his former wife, Mrs. Alisa Waddle.
DONNA SUE WADE
- Services for Donna Sue Wade, age 55, are scheduled for Oct. 29, 2009 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill. Mrs. Wade died late Tuesday at her home in Huron. Survivors include her husband, Ray Wade of Huron; her parents, Earl Hutchins of Wingo KY and June Hutchins of Detroir; her son, Martin Wade of Huron, two stepsons, and stepdaughter; her brother Mike Hutchins of Detroit; a sister Deborah Burns of Clinton Twp. MI; and four grandchildren.
JENNIE (DEERE) WADE
- Services for Mrs. Jennie Deere Wade were conducted from the First Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Edwin Duesner and the Rev. Jones Stewart of Somerville. Mrs. Wade, 62, died at her home in Somerville Monday night of cancer after a long illness. She had been bedfast for the past year. A native Henderson Countian, Mrs. Wade was the daughter of the late S.E. and Ellen Deere. She had lived all her life in this county until four years ago when she moved to Somerville. She was a member of the Baptist Church here. She is survived by her husband E.M. Wade; a son, Paul Wade of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Belew and Mrs. Grace Pearson, Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Hal Johnson of Lexington and M rs. Pete Mitchell of Nashville; a brother, Oliver Deere of Lexington. Six grandchildren also survive. Burial in Lexington Cemetery.
EUDA (SNIDER) WADLEY
- Graveside funeral services for Euda Snider Wadley were Monday at Sand Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Wadley age 96, of Lexington died Saturday July 9, 2011 in Lexington. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Leathie Snider, three nieces Charlotte Snider, Beth Ueleke and Frances Lassiter; and a nephew Jerry Snider. She was preceded by her husband Duncan Wadley.
LANOICE WARD
- Funeral services for Lanoice Ward, 78, were held on Sunday the 4th of April at First Baptist Church of Lexington with Rev. Tommy Crocker officiating. Interment followed in the Rock Hill Cemetery near Lexington. Lanoice died Friday, April 2, 2010 in Jackson. He was born August 12, 1931 to the late Guy and Hallie (Byrd) Ward. He was a longtime employee of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad having held the position of brakeman flash condoctor, retiring in 1998 with 28 years of service. His activities in life centered around the love of the outdoors and his family, loving to work in the yard, spend time fishing orjust simply being with his family whom he adored. He and Ruth have been married for 52 years and those that know them would agree with the adage that "opposites do attract". Her sense of gentle calmness coupled with his vibrant personality were a match made in heaven that, in ruth's words, created a marriage where they were joined at the hip.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Guy Ward and his sisters Leta Rachel Weir and Frances Gardner. When they were together at family gatherings one could be assured that huge storytelling and laughter would be abundant. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Eads of Lexington; his daughter Janet Hoskins and her husband Danny of Orlando FL and their children, Luke and Adam; his sons, Mike Ward and his wife Kathy of Tuttle OK and their children, Kyle and Hallie; and Phil Ward and his wife Deanna of Lexington and their children, Jennifer, Tanner and Lacey Lewis and his great grandson Linden Spain. Additionally he is survived by his brother A.D. Ward of Lexington.
KYLE WARREN
- Funeral services for Kyle Warren were Saturday Aug. 8, 2009 at Reeds Chapel, Lexington. Burial followed in Hare Cemetery.
Mr. Warren age 65, died Thursday August 6, 2009 at Jackson Madison Hsp. He was preceded by his parents, Mary Earlene (Barber) and Kent Owen Warren and two sisters Saragh Culbertson and Mary Gordon.
Survivors include his wife Ann of Lexington; three daughters, Tina Shopher of McKenzie, Emily Coffman of Greenfield, Cindy Bright of Dresden; six sisters, Olene Sharp of Murray City; Linda Warren of Alamo, Ruth Moody of Reagan; Ann Frazier of Scotts Hill, Bonnie O'Guinn of Reagan and Shirley Morgan of Trenton; a brother, Kenneth Warren of Linden and eight grandchildren.
MARION T. WEATHERLY
, 73, father of D.L. Weatherly ofLexington, died Wednesday afternoon at Memphis at the hme of a daughter Mrs. Guy Smith. Nr. Weatherly was a retired farmer of Saulsbury TN, and had gone to his daughter's home Monday. He had been a patient at Methodist Hospital for a month before then. In addition to his son here, he leaves three children; Ernest, and Horace, Ripley MS: Clyde Weatherly of Saulsbury; Herman , James, L.T. and Conrad Weatherly all of Memphis; six daughters other than Mrs. Smith include Mrs. Whit Rogers and Mrs. Lawrence Jordan, Ashland, MS; Mrs. Norman Parham, Mrs. Herman Jenkins and Mrs. W. P. Newton all of Grand Junction.
DONALD RAY WESTERMAN
- Services for Donald Ray Westerman were Nov. 24, 2009 at Reeds Chapel. Burial followed in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Westerman age 55, of Lexington passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Henderson County Hospital. He was the son of the late Sclenia Westerman and Harold Westerman. Donald is survived by a son, Paul Westerman, of Cedar Grove; and two grandchildren; three sisters, Faye Scott, of Huron; Edith Edwards of IL; Louise Berry of WI and a brother, Charles Westerman of Huron. He was predeceased by a brother, Billy Westerman.
BOBBY LEE WESTERN
- Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Lee Western, age 64, were Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Darrol Davis and Bro. Mitchel Milholen officiating. Burial followed in Sand Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Western died Thursday in Lexington. He was born Feb. 4, 1946 in Henderson County to the late John Franklin and Ida Mae (Sipes) Western. He was an employee of Davis Brothers Roofing.
Survivors include his wife Linda of Wildersville, son, Tim of Lexington, two daughters, Janet Dickson of Huron, Lisa Braun of Lexington, one stepdaughter, Trisha Azbill of Lexington, two brothers, Herman Western of Lexington and Lee of Parsons, one step-son Alan Ethridge, three sisters, Martha Skelton, Laura Sego and Lorene Maness of Lexington and six grandchildren.
ZENA MAE (GURLEY) WESTERN
- Funeral services for Zena Mae Gurley Western, age 93, will be 2 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Humboldt Church of Christ with Paul Helton and Tim Roland officiating. Burial will follow at the Corinth Cemetery in Scotts Hill, TN.
She was born August 23, 1917 in Scotts Hill, TN and passed from this life on August 5, 2011. She was educated in Decatur County schools. Mrs. Western was a long time member of the Freed-Hardeman Associates and an active member of the "Young at Heart" church group at the Humboldt Church of Christ, where she was a faithful member.
She and her late husband, Haywood, helped start Mid-South Youth Camp in Henderson, TN. She also helped start the Nursing Program at Freed-Hardeman University. She was an active volunteer and contributor to Youth Town of TN. She paid for many children to attend Youth Camp, and paid for numerous mission trips. She was well known for baking cookies and pies, and her joy was in giving them away.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Haywood Western; one son, J D Western; one daughter, Barbara Western; five brothers, Voist Gurley, Gova Gurley, Essery Gurley, Robert "Bob" Gurley and Boyd Gurley.
She is survived by daughters, Juanita (Charles) Overall and Marilyn (Ed) Jackson; grandchildren, Gwen (Michael) Blackwell, Pamela (Dennis) Bentley, Jerod Haywood (Mary Beth) Jackson, Jenny Elizabeth Jackson and Edward Seigor Jackson III; great granddaughters, Erica Elise (Dennis) Weaver, Candice Magen Swayne, Abigail Elizabeth Swayne, Alexandria Kendell Swayne and Evan Elizabeth Jackson. - Funeral services will be Friday April 2, 2010 at Broad Stree Church of Christ with P.J. Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Wheatley age 64, of Lexington, died Monday March 29, 2010 in Jackson. She was a teacher at Lexington High School and a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by two children, Anyce (Rodney) Russell and Will Wheatley of Lexington; a sister Karen (Jim) Hodge of Morristown; two brothers Brent (Sandy) Denison of Jackson and Chris (Teri) Denison of Clarksville, and two grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Russell. She was preceded by her husband Wm. Wheatley.
FRED WILHITE
- Services for Fred Wilhite, 53, a Sardis businessman were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Middleton Church of Christ. Mr. Wilhite, a former NC & StL railway employee, was found dead in bed Monday morning at the home of a sister, Mrs. Vera A. Brooks in Memphis. Born in Mississippi, Mr. Wilhite formerly lived in Memphis. At Sardis, he was active in community and civic affairs, and was a Mason. He was a member of the Union Avenue Church of Christ in Memphis. In additions to his sister, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Virginia Cole Wilhite; two half brothers, Guy Wilhite ofRipley, Miss and Al Wilhite of Memphis. Burial was in Middleton Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilkins, 90, died Wednesday night at Decatur County Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Henderson County, the widow of Claude Wilkins and a Baptist. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Alene Derryberry of Yuma, Mrs. Nadine Hearington of St. Louis and Mrs. Helen Gooch of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Donnie Lewis of Lexington and Mrs. Odell Brewer of Wildersville; two brothers, Luther Duke and Audie Duke, both of Lexington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
WILMA E. WILKINS

Burial was in Hare Cemetery. Mrs. Wilkinson, age 67, passed away Sunday May 12, 2002 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the Natchez Trace Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves her husband Harold; two sons, Gary and Steve, four grandsons and a sister Dorothy Wood all of Lexington.
HAROLD WILKINSON
- Services for MR. Wilkinson age 80, were September 9, 2009 in the CHapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Crocker and Dan Hughes officiating. Interment followed in Hae Cemetery. Mr. Wilkinson, the son of the late John F. and Elah Smith Wilkinson died November 7, 2009 in Jackson. He was a long time employee of the Lexington Post Office, retiring after 30 years. Harold enjoyed all sports, including Cardinal baseball and Tennessee Football, but especially watching his grandchildren as they played in their respective sports, in addition to sports he enjoyed playing Rook and walking at the Senior Citizens Center.
His survivors include his two sons, Gary Wilkinson (Judy) and Steve Wilkinson (Debby) both of Lexington and four grandchildren. Mr. Wilkinson was preceded by his wife Dora Jowers Wilkinson.

- Services for Mrs. Cynthia Hamilton Woodard were yesterday afternoon at Independence Church of Christ with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Woodard, who was 86, died Monday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Metzger of near Milan after a long illness. She was born in Decatur County and lived in Earle, Ark., before moving to Milan to live with her daughter 11 years ago. She leaves her husband, James T. Woodard; another daughter, Mrs. Zethra Hoyner of Moscow; two sons, Bill Woodard and Jim Woodard, both of Milan; a brother, Herman Hamilton of Lexington; 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

- Services for Mrs. Opal Johnson Worsham, 83, will be Tuesday Oct. 16, 2001 at Casey Funeral Home with burial in Sardis Cemetery. Mrs. Worsham, retired Machine Operator/Salant & Salant and Oakley Fashions, died Sunday at Chester Co Health Care of heart failure. K.N. WULFERT
- Services for Mr. Wulfert, age 91, were Friday Dec. 24, 2010 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill with Rev. Tommy Crocker officiating. Burial following in Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Wulfert passed away Tuesday in Jackson. He was born July 19, 1919 in Felsenthal Ukraine to the late Karl and Olga Kintop Wulfert. Mr. Wulfert was a farmer, and received the Plant to Prosper Award in the early 1960's, just after receiving US Citizenship in 1959. He was very proud to be an American Citizen and had a passon for feeding cats and birds. A very loving husband, father, grandfahter and great-grandfather. Mr. Wulfert is survived by his wife of over 79 years, Mrs. Vera Wulfert of Scotts Hill; two sons, Nick Jr. of Lexington and Anton of Scotts Hill; three daughters, Erna Kirk of Lexington, Olga Turbow of Saltillo and Lisa Davis of Bartlett; one brother Eduard Wulfert of Germany and fourteen grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Wynes (Debbie Little) of Wildersville, her daughter, Shirley Wynes McDaniel (Ronnie D.) of Lexington; her brother Homer Wynes of Lexington; three grandsons, Bobby Joe (Angel) Wynes, Ronnie Lynn McDaniel and Gary Lynn McDaniel and four great grandsons.
