MARION A. YAGER - Services for Mrs. Marion A. Yager are today at 10 am at Boyd Funeral Home with Father Jim Martell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Baptist. Mrs. Yager, 66, died Monday morning at Jackson Hospital. She was the widow of William Yager and a Catholic. She leaves five sons, Bill Keats, Robert Yager, both of Decaturville, John Yager of Scotts Hill, James Yager of Wichita KS and David Yager of Milledgeville; three daughtes Anna Marie Keats of Washington DC, Mrs. Susan Watts of Niantic IL and Mrs. Margaret Hopkins of Decatur IL; a sister Mrs. Margie Ciccone of New York; and 17 grandchildren.

EDGAR YARBRO - Services for Edgar Yarbro, retired railway conductor, were Friday at Pafford Funeral Home with the Rev. Edwin Deusner officiating. Burial was in Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Yarbro, who was 74, died early Thursday at Lexington Henderson County Hospital where he had been a patient a day. He had been ill two years. Mr. Yarbro retired in 1957 after 50 years service with the N. C. & St. L. Railway. He was a baptist. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Allie McCall Yarbro; a son, Edgar M. Yarbro of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Russ Yeiser of Waynesboro; four brothers, Arthur Yarbro of Shreveport, La., John Yarbro, David Yarbro and Clarance Yarbro, all of Paducah; four sisters, Mrs. Frances McMurty and Mrs. Annie Mae Turner, both of Paducah, Mrs. Grace Steck of Benton, Mo., and Mrs. Nell Osting of Oregon.

WILLARD YATES - Services for Willard H. Yates, age 85, were held Sept. 11, 2009 in Pafford Funeral Home. Burial followed in New Hope Methodist. Mr. Yates died late Monday in Jackson. He was preceded by a daughter Gwendolyn yates. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bennie Yates of Jackson; one son, RIckey of Pinson; two daughters, Vivian Stockard ofJonesboro AR and Pat Evans of Bells TN; three sisters, Leathie Snyder of Lexington, Louise Phillips of Verra Beach FL and Betty Dick of Reagan and 8 grandchildren.

BOBBY LYNN YELVERTON - Funeral Services for Bobby Lynn Yelverton were Monday May 25, 2009 at Reeds Chapel with burial in Chapel Hill Cem. He was 73, died Friday May 22, 2009 at his home. He is survived by four daughters, Cynthia Smith of Pinson, Darlene DeCarolis and Betty Bowman of Huron and Doralis Clasen of Wichita KS; two sons, Jeff Yelverton of Jackson and Tim Blackstock of Huron; a sister Beatrice Pomery of Jackson; three brothers, Harry of Memphis, Gene of Gonzales LA and Guy ofJackson, 19 grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife Gloria and a son Michael.

JAMES RUSSELL YOUNG , 90, formerly of Huntingdon TN died on Monday Feb. 8, 2010 at Martin Volunteer Hospital after a long fight with COPD. He was the son of the late Charlie Taylor Young of Arkansas and Climie Duke Young of California and was born Nov. 29, 1919 in Water Valley MS. He went to San Diego and joined the Navy during WWII during which he fought the Japanese on the Pacific Islands and received four medals of honor, the highest being the Unit Citation Medal for Extraordinary Bravery. Mr. Y oung was wounded in action while on Guam. He later joined the Coast Guard Merchant Marines and traveled around the world until 1968. In 1969 he had his right leg amputated from WW II Wounds, but being a tough man, he came home to Huntingdon and started a lawn mowing business, which he ran until he was in this late 79's. Mr. Young's last request was to be cremated after his death. Graveside Memorial services will be held March 12, 2010 at the New Hope Methodist Cemetery in Lexington with full military honors. Pafford Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jerri melton Young, formerly of Huntingdon, two sons, Tim McCoy and wife, Vickie Coleman McCoy of Huntingdon and Buddy Young of CA, one brother-in-law, Wylie Pearson of Huntingdon, one sister-in-law, Zula Melton Buck formerly of Lexington, three grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

JOHN TROY YOUNG - Services for John Troy Young were Friday at Palestine Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. E.E. Deusner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Pafford Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Young who was 67, died Wednesday at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson county, a retired farmer and a Methodist. He leaves his wife, Mrs, Clara Freeman Young, seven sons, Fred L. Young, Odell Young and Leonard Young, all of Lexington. Jess Willard Young, Dewey W. Young, J.T. Young and Woodrow Young, all of Memphis. Three daughters: Mrs. Audrey Rush of Atlanta, Miss Jean Young and Miss Betty Young of Birmingham. Four sisters, Mrs. Lennie Hart and Mrs. Eula Sison of Lexington, Mrs Thelma Hooper of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Mrs Dorothy Armstrong Acree of Memphis.

KENNETH DALE YOUNG - Funeral services for Kenneth Dale Young, age 76 are Friday Sept. 30, 2011 at Saltillo CHurch of Christ. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Young died Monday in Jackson. He was a partial owner of Reese Roofing and a US Marine Veteran, serving in Korea. Survivors include his two sons, Kenneth Lee Young and Kevin Dale Murdock; two daughters, Dara Lee Dubois and Edda DeaneHunter; and eleven grandchildren.

RUBY E. (CLENNEY) YOUNG , 92, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, Feb.22, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec.4, 1912, in Scotts Hill, Tenn., the daughter of James Woodward and Ollie Belle Eason Clenney. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.M. "Pete" Young, on Jan. 20, 2003, a daughter, Helen Leflet, a grand daughter, Dorothy Ann Young, two brothers, Raymond K. Clenney and Russell Clenney and two sisters, Helen Sorells and Rowene Guerrero. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons; a daughter; two brothers; a son-in-law; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at Calvary Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Brother Marvin Loyd, Dr. Gene Fulcher and Brother Paul W. Young officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Okla, under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
