The family of the Rev. and Mrs. Dorsey L. Jones Sr. met recently at Beech Lake to honor him on his 84th birthday.
All the children except one were present. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Jerrell "Chummy" Jones and daughter (Debbie), Mr.a nd Mrs. Nathaniel Jones and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Goy Snider, Mr. and Mrs. John Snider, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Martin and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky JOnes, Mr. and mrs. D.L. Jones Jr., and children, all of Lexington.
Mr. and Mrs. John Allen Jones and children of Marietta GA, Mr. and Mrs. Attice Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Shaw and daughter of Memphis, and Mr. and mrs. Bobby Langley and children of Brownsville.
Dorsey Jones Sr. is the son of Flaviel Jobe & Nora Jones.

Rev. and Mrs. D.L. Jones Sr. celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary Sunday. They have eight children, Attice Jones of Memphis, Earl Jones, Chummy Jones, D.L. Jones Jr., Nathaniel Jones and Mrs. Leola Martin and Mrs. Gladys Snider, all of Lexington and John Allen Jones of Atlanta; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
