Hickman County Tennessee Genealogy and History Volunteers Dedicated to Free Genealogy My name is Rita Morgan and I'm very excited to be hosting Hickman County, the home of my mother's family since the early 1800's.  I do not live in Hickman County but love my visits there and with hosting this site I look forward to many more visits to collect data to share with you. The county was named for explorer Edwin Hickman, killed by Indians near the present site of Centerville in 1791.
