Albany, Ky., May 10 - Arthur Hibbard, 41, Detroit, and Claude Dillon, 45, Gainesboro, Tenn., were killed yesterday
when their auto went over an embankment. Miss Willine Brown, Celina, Tenn., was injured.

Rev. Joel W. Whitten died of yellow fever, Decatur, Ala., Oct. 20, 1878, who would have had his 55th birthday in
December; born Newberry Dist., So. Carolina; son of Mason and Nancy (Hair) Whitten. Licensed to preach, Methodist
Church, Aug. 27, 1840 at the age of 16 years, 8 months; preached in Tenn. Conference, the various charges detailed
in this obituary; married (1) Miss McDaniel; (2) Miss Mercer, both wives of Jackson Co., Tenn.; surviving him was
second wife and one son. He died Sept. 28, 1878 .
