MRS. ANNIE BARROW - Graveside services for Mrs. Annie Dunavant Barrow, 91, were Wednesday, April 15 at 2 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley with Rev. John Hartman and Rev. C. Wayne Fesmire officiating. A prayer service was held at the home, 138 High Street at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Dilday Funeral Home had charge.
Mrs. Barrow, widwo of John W. Barrow, died Monday afternoon at McKenzie Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She formerly lived in Ripley, but had been in Huntingdon for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She leaves two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clifford Dunavant of Ripley and Mrs. Claude Reeder of Huntingdon; two brothers-in-law, Weldon Barrow and Curtis Barrow, both of Huntingdon.

MRS. WALTER R. BROWNE
, mother of W. Robert Browne of 9972 Coppedge, Dallas, died in a Memphis, Tenn., hospital Monday after a long illness. Mrs. Browne was born in Tennessee and lived in Amarillo from 1915 to 1935. Funeral services will be held Tuesday in the National Funeral Home in Memphis, and burial will be in the City Cemetery at Gates, Tenn. Besides the son in Dallas, she is survived by another son, M. H. Browne of MaMarque, Galveston County, and a sister, Mrs. H. T. Neely of Amarillo.

ANN D. CAMPBELL , Died, in Ashport. Tenn., on the 7th February. Mrs. ANN D. CAMPBELL, wife of Dr. E. S. Campbell, aged 24 years. 10 months and 11 days. In the Spring of 1836 attached herself to the Presbyterian church. She leaves a husband and two children, a widowed mother, brothers and sisters.

ANDREW HUGHES
MEETS TRAGIC DEATH
Ripley, Tenn. - Andrew Hughes, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hughes, met a tragic death when dragged several hundred yards by a mule. The young man became entangled in the harness of the animal after he had unhitched the mule from a plow.

CHARLES R. JENNINGS , 72, died at 3:42 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, in the Indiana Veterans’ Home, West Lafayette, where he had been a resident since January 2003. Born Feb. 26, 1932, in Henning, Tenn. He served as a private first class in the Army from May 1951 through April 1953. Mr. Jennings was a chef at various restaurants. He was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are a daughter, Diane Marie Donnell (husband: Kelley) of Sioux Falls, S.D., a brother, Hugh Jennings (wife: Donna) of West Baden Springs; three sisters, Jean Frisbie (husband: Rea) of Mesa, Ariz., Betty Spradling (husband: Bill) of Granite City, Ill., and M. Sue Cooper of Lebanon. Services are Friday in West Lafayette.
