John Arrington was a dentist in the late nineteenth and early twentiesth century. His office at 119 East Main Street was furnished with the latest cabinets. His assistant, called Tap Tap, because of the old fashioned method of putting in gold fillings. Dr. Arrington was elected mayor in 1873.
