DAVID ALLEN NANNEY - Services for David Allen Nanney age 49, will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 29, 2007 at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Brother Robert McBroom officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. David died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born April 4, 1958 in Madison County, TN the son of Raymond Earl and Sharon Nanney. He is survived by his children, Raymond Allen Nanney of Jackson,TN and Latonya Mullikin of Jackson, TN. He is also survived his mother, Shirley Johnson Blackwell and his step father, Murray of Jackson,TN; sister, Sharon E. Nanney of Jackson,TN; brother Pete R. Nanney. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Leigh Nanney, his father, Raymond Earl Nanney and his brothers, Floyd R. and L.Wayne Nanney.

G. F. NEILL - A prominent citizen kills himself...
The sad death by suicide of Mr.G.F.NEILL Thursday cast a gloom over the whole city.He had once benn a prosperous merchant of our city, but was unfortunate and lost all he had, was out of employment and in consequence very much depressed. Mr. Neill made his home with his mother-in-law, Mrs. B.R. Person. About 1 o'clock he went into the coal-house,where he fired the fatal shot. The ball pentrated his heart. The report of this pistol was not heard,and it was some time before the family knew what had occurred. He left a wife and two interesting children, and scores of friends to deplore the losds.

ALMA SUE (JINES) NELSON - Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Sue Nelson, 73, will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 29, 2007, at the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Nelson, a homemaker, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born in Humboldt, TN, daughter of the late Jake and Gracie Doss Jines and was educated in the local schools. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Winston Nelson on February 26, 1988; two sons, Paul David " Buddy" Nelson and H. Lee Nelson and a sister, Lorene Warren. Survivors include a son, Jerry Wayne Nelson and wife Kathy of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Nelson of Jackson; two grandchildren, Shane Russom and James Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Derek Russom and Brenan Russom and a sister, Mary Ann Brand of Humboldt, TN.

NINA (CHTOURBINE) NEWELL died Thursday September 13, 2007 at her niece's residence. She was born March 7, 1924 in Bulgaria the daughter of the late Nicolia and Anastasie Chtourbine. Mrs. Newell was a long time resident of Sacramento, CA. She is survived by a brother Igor Chtourbine of France; a nephew Clifford Swords of Phoenix, AZ; a niece Barbara Buback and her husband Mike of Jackson, TN. Graveside services for Nina Newell will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday September 16, 2007 at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday September 16, 2007 from 1:00 P. M. until time of the service.

RUTH (HENDERSON) NICHOLS - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Henderson Nichols, 91, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Callicoatt officiating. Burial will follow in Browns Cemetery. Mrs. Nichols, a homemaker, died March 29, 2009. She was born in Jackson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert E. L. and Addie Watson Henderson and was educated in the local schools. Mrs. Nichols was a very active member of Browns United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lernard Nichols in 1978; a sister Margaret Pearson and a brother, Robert E. L. Henderson, Jr. She leaves two daughters, Betty Smith and husband, Jimmy C. of Jackson and Penny Litton and husband Danny of Lyles, TN; six grandchildren, David Smith, Bonita Molbert, James Litton, Matthew Litton, Andrew Litton and Adam Litton and five great-grandchildren.

VIRGINIA ESTELLE NICHOLS - Services for Virginia Nichols were oct. 21, 2009 at Reeds Chapel with burial following in Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Mrs. Nichols, age 89, of Lexington died Monday Oct. 19, 2009 in Lexington. She is survived by a brother Floyd Butler of Washington IL; two grandchildren Lora Keen ofLexington and Joey Nichols of Lyles TN.
