JAMES O'CONNOR RESIDENCE

James O'Connor built this home at 363 South Royal Street prior to the Civil War.

In the early 1860's he notified his customers that he had such a large order for shoes from the Confederate government that he could not take orders from individuals.

This was later the home of Miss Nina O'Connor, the artist.
