Seaborn Jones Hanged by the Ku Klux Klan
Seaborn Jones was hanged in Maury County, near Columbia, on Friday night last, by the Ku Klux
Klan. His offence was forcing a step-daughter, fourteen years of age, to share his bed, and the murder of his child,
three months old. He absconded from Nashville a short time since, when the first offense became known, taking the
child with him, and killing it in Maury County.
