Maury County, Tennessee News Articles Seaborn Jones Hanged by the Ku Klux Klan Seaborn Jones was hanged in Maury County, near Columbia, on Friday night last, by the Ku Klux Klan. His offence was forcing a step-daughter, fourteen years of age, to share his bed, and the murder of his child, three months old. He absconded from Nashville a short time since, when the first offense became known, taking the child with him, and killing it in Maury County.
