Proclamation.
Aaron V. Brown, Governor of the State of Tennessee.
To all who shall see these Presents -- Greeting.
Whereas, It has been made know to me that a certain Obed. W. Cantrell charged with having committed a foul and atrocious murder on the 24th day of January 1846, upon the body of Eli Moss, late of our County of McMinn, has fled from Justice and is now running at large.
Now, therefore, I, AARON V. BROWN, Governor of aforesaid, by virtue of the power and authority in me vested, do hereby offer a reward of two hundred dollars to any person or persons who may apprehend the said Obed W. Cantrell, and deliver him to the Sheriff or Jailor of our County of McMinn in order that justice in that behalf may be had and executed.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville, on the 23 day of April 1846. AARON V. BROWN.
