Sir Archer Baldwin
British MP Born In Tennessee Dies
Worcester, England – Sir Archer Baldwin, who was born in a log cabin near Rugby, Tenn., and became a member of parliment, died at his home at Tenbury Wells Monday. He was 82.
Baldwin’s father was engaged in the timber trade in the United States when he was born. The son was one of Britain’s leading livestock breeders. While in the House of Commons, he served as the Conservative party spokesman on agricultural issues.
