William B. (Bill) Bandy of Copperhill died Friday at Fannin Hospital after suffering a heart attack. A retired miner and a member of Mine City Baptist Church, he was 67.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Hill of Ellijay and Mrs. Peggy Jo Johnson of Copperhill; two sisters, Mrs. Charity Smith of Ellijay and Mrs. Myrtle Montgomery of Postelle; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted by the Revs. Oscar Poole and Boyd Brookshire at Akins Chapel Monday at 2 p.m. Pallbearers were Keith Ballew, Clarence Taylor, Ricky Newberry, Edwin Taylor, John Bandy, Glover Roberson. Serving as an honorary escort were Roy Kovsky, Robert Floyd, Lee Ross Buttram, Dr. R.A. Burns, Dr. J. Bige Boggess, Bill Johnson, Jams Hood, Paul Taylor and L.E. Jones. Interment was at Zion Hill.
