This day Jacob Bird constable of the 3rd District of Sevier County tendered to the court his resignation which was accepted by the court.
This day John Russell Executor of the last will and testament appeared in open court gave a new bond in the sum of two thousand dollars with Absolum Allen & H S Blair as his security the original bond having been destroyed.
This day the court appointed Hiram S Blair guardian to Eli M Blair, Martha Ann Blair & Mary Jane Blair minor orphans who appeared in open court gave bond in the sum of one thousand dollars with Eli Fox & Absolum Allen as his security.
This day Rhoda Douglass administrator of the Estate of Alex. Douglass Decd. appeared in open court and gave a new bond in the sum of five hundred dollars with John Douglass J K Franklin & Israel Wilson the original bond having been destroyed.

ibid Upon the verbal petition of Curtis Mills it is ordered by the court that Basdil Scruggs John Mullendore Alfred McDaniel Amos Gobble Alfred Roberts and Winston Carter be appointed a Jury of view to view and mark out an alteration in the road from Amos Trotters to the West fork of Little Pigeon near Curtis Mills and that they report to the next to the next quarterly term of this court

Andes & John Nichols produced in court the scalps of six wolves under the age of four months and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that said wolves was killed in Sevier County It is therefore considered by the court that said Seaton Andes & Nichols be allowed for the killing of said wolves the sum of twenty four dollars payable out of the State Treasury.

This day Carroll Shrader presented to the court a certificate of his election as Constable of the 3rd District of Sevier County who gave bond and was duly sworn according to law which bond is as follows to wit,
Know all men by these presents that
we Carroll Shrader Adam Houk & John Catlett are held and firmly bound unto the
State of Tennessee in the penal sum of four thousand dollars for the payment of
which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs executors and
administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents; sealed with our
seals and dated this sixth day of July 1857. The condition of the above
obligation is such that if the above bound Carroll Shrader
who has been elected a constable of Sevier County for the term of Two years from
the first Saturday in March 1857 shall execute and due return make of all
process and precepts by him received in virtue his said election and pay and
satisfy all fees and sums of money by him received or levied by virtue of any
process to the person or persons to whom the same may be due and shall well and
truly collect all specific Taxes within Civil District No 3 of Sevier County
which by law he is required to collect and pay over to the proper officer
authorized by law to receive the same within the time prescribed by law, and in
all things well and truly and faithfully execute and discharge the several
duties of Constable during his continuance in office then the above obligation
to be void otherwise to be in full force
