This day the court appointed Nancy Robeson guardian to Joel Robeson a minor orphan she therefore gave bond in the sum of one thousand dollars with James Eslinger as her security and was duly sworn.
This day John McMahan came into
court and renewed his bond as Guardian to Martha R McMahan and came into
court in the sum of one thousand dollars with David McMahan as his security

We believe the change entirely practicable and of great advantage to the petitioner & of no disadvantage the public or any private individual as it passes over firmer ground & in length of it is not more than 70 or 80 yards farther than the old road

Elijah Cates moved the court to make him an allowance for Twenty days services as a building commissioner for the public buildings at Sevierville at one Dollar per day and thirty three ferriages at 10 cents each which account reaches from his appointment to the April term 1857 of this court and there upon the allowance was made by the court the following Gentlemen voting in the affirmative F L Emert, J H Cate, J. M. Evans M Davis, P. S. Shults Isaac Trotter C Johnson R W Crowson and these voting in the negative were J. B. Seaton Thos. Maples R M Creswell N M Baker L Bogart T. W. Randles & J. T. Havis and the vote on said motion ordered to be recorded
