ibid       Ordered by the court that Henry King be appointed overseer of the road from Crowsons Mill creek at the school house to the Blount County line and he is hereby required to keep said road in lawful repair with the hands heretofore assigned

ibid       Information being made to the court that Nancy Shields a citizen of this county is a Lunatic, it is therefore ordered by the court that the sheriff of Sevier County summon a jury of twelve free holders of said county to ascertain by inquisition such Lunacy and that they make return thereof to the next term of this court and that they also ascertain and report what lands or goods and chattels may be owned and possessed by said Nancy Shields.

ibid       Information being made to the court that William Clark a citizen of this county in an idiot, it is therefore ordered by the court that the sheriff of Sevier County Tennessee summon a Jury of twelve free holders of said county to ascertain by inquisition such Idiocy and that they make return thereof to the next term of this court and that they also ascertain and report what lands or goods and chattels may be owned and possessed by said Nancy Shields William Clark

ibid       Upon the verbal petition of Wm Etherton it is ordered by the court that Jacob Blazer  Adam Bird, John Ferguson, Cornelius Fox and Wm Patterson be appointed a Jury of view to view and mark out an alteration in the road Flat creek road near where the said Etherton is now clearing land and that they report to the next quarterly Term of this court.

ibid       Upon the verbal petition of Wm Jones it is ordered by the court that John Lewallen  Jesse Hill  P. M. Atchley  Thas Atchley & John Lindsey be appointed a Jury of view to view and mark out an alteration in the road from Flat Creek to M. Atchleys said alteration to be on said Jones land where he is now clearing land and that they report to the next quarterly term of this court.

This day Henry Randles came into open court and asked the court to be appointed administrator of the Estate of Nancy Wall decd. and proposed to give bond and security for the administration of said estate which application was refused by the court because it appeared to the court that administration had been granted upon the estate of Edward Wall Decd. who was the husband and administrator of the said Nancy Wall decd.

ibid       It appearing to the satisfaction of the court that W F. Nichols is improperly charged with the taxes on $350 loaned money for the year 1858, it is therefore ordered by the court that he be released from said taxes

ibid       Upon the verbal petition Margaret Nichols it is ordered by the court that Wellington McMahan  John McMahan (of David) Jas. McNelly, A. M. Chambers, Abraham McMahan, M. A. Rawlings, & H M Thomas be appointed a jury of view to view and mark out a road of the third clap commencing a short distance south of the old house where Henry S Catlett formerly lived to the house on the land of the said Margaret Nichols and that they report to the next term of this court

This day Jesse Stafford came into open court and having been duly elected revenue collector for Sevier County for the year 1858 by the county court at the January Term 1858 and entered into bonds with good and sufficient securities and took the necessary oaths of office which bonds are in the following figures and words to wit,
