and truly to be made, we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators, Jointly and severally firmly by these presents; sealed with our seals and dated this 5th day of April 1858  The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Eli Williams who has been elected a Constable of Sevier County for the term of two years from the first Saturday in March 1858, shall execute and due return make of all process and precepts by him received in virtue of his said election and pay and satisfy all fees and sums of money by him received or levied by virtue of any process to the person or persons to whom the same may be due and shall well and truly collect all specific taxes within Civil district No 11 of Sevier County which by law he is required to collect and pay over to the proper officer authorized by law to receive the same within the time prescribed by law, and in all other things well and truly and faithfully execute and discharge the several duties of Constable during his continuance in office - then the above obligation to be void otherwise to be in full force.

This day David Keener presented to the court the certificate of the Sheriff of Sevier County of his election as Constable of the 12 district of said county who gave bond and was duly qualified which bond is as follows

"Know all men by these presents that we David Keener  J Widner, Geo Underwood  Wm H Cowan, J H Cate are held and firmly bound unto the State of Tennessee in the penal sum of four thousand dollars for the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 5th day of April 1858

The jury heretofore appointed to inquire as to the Lunacy &C of William Clark make the following report to wit

            The undersigned free holder of Sevier County having been duly summoned and sworn as a Jury to inquire into the mental condition of Wm W Clark after diligently investing the matter do find that the said William W Clark is an Idiot and utterly incapable of managing his own affairs with safety to himself and others; we also find that he has an undivided interest in five thousand and eight hundred acres of land and an heir in some personally property also the interest of about one thousand Dollars all of which is respectfully submitted this 5th April 1858

                        Be it remembered that on this 5th day of April 1858 the following cause came on for further hearing before the worshipful County Court of Sevier County in the petition of complainant exparte and Judgment pro confesso and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that Jno Wear was and is duly appointed administrator of Mary Wear Decd. by virtue of letters of administration issued from the county court of this county and that said John Wear has gone on under said letters of

of administration and duly administered all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits that were of the said Mary Wear Dec. and that after such administration there yet remains due and owing from said estate to said Jno Wear about the sum of twenty five dollars for advancements made by the said Jno Wear out of his own means for the discharge of just and bona fide demands against said estate; and it further appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the said Mary Wear died seized and possessed of a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid and State of Tennessee containing one hundred acres more or less.  It therefore pleases the court to order adjudge and decree that the said John Wear administrator aforesaid be and is hereby empowered to sell and convey said tract of land as described in complainants petition, to any person who may purchase the same and make good and valid title thereto and apply the proceeds arising from the sale thereof to the payment of such debt or debts as may be justly due and owing from said estate to said Jno Wear or any other bona fide creditor of said estate; and all the right title and interest of the heirs and legal representatives of the said Mary Wear decd. of in and to said tract of land is hereby divested out of all and every one of such heirs and legal representatives and fully vested in the said John Wear as administrator aforesaid.

ibid       This day R. S. Clark presented to the court the affidavit of E W. Parton that he had killed three wild cats in Sevier County it is therefore ordered by the court that he receive a certificate which shall be received in payment of three poll Taxes.

ibid       Ordered by the court that John Murphy be appointed overseer of the road from the ford of the river at Dr. Hodsdens to Shin Bone and he is hereby required to keep said road in lawful repair with the hands heretofore assigned.
