ibid       It appearing to the satisfaction of the court that Jacob Hall is improperly charged with a poll tax for the year 1858 it appearing to the court that he is under twenty one years of age it is ordered by the court that he be released from said poll tax

ibid       Upon the verbal petition of Wilson Hodges it is ordered by the court that Timothy Chandler  Jonathan Johnson  James Johnson  Lewis Wayland  Jacob Widner  John McCroskey  Harvey Cowan  Jas Cowden  Joseph Delozier  Simon Johnson, John Robeson & Jas M Sharp be appointed a Jury to ass. damages if any on the road leading from the Underdown ferry road to the Knoxville road near the head of Williams Meadow and that they report to the next quarterly term of this court.

ibid       This day W. F. Nichols & Geo W T. Hill next friends of Sarah Hill appeared in court and by attorney moved the court to remove James Toomey for the guardianship of Sarah Hill minor heir of Randal Hill decd. for failing to attend properly to his said wards estate and letting said Estate go to waste and also failing to attend to the education of his said ward it is therefore ordered by the court that the clerk of this court issue notice to said James Toomey to appear at the next term of this court and answer said charges

            It ordered by the court that the order made at the last term of this court requiring the clerk to hear proof and take and state an account in this cause and that he report at this term be revived and that he report to the next term of this court.

This day M. W. McCown Deputy Clerk presented a settlement made with Thomas Maples guardian to Benjamin Huff a minor heir of John Huff decd. and it is ordered by the court that the clerk be allowed one dollar & fifty five cents for his fee for said settlement and that said settlement be confirmed by the court and that the same be recorded

This day B M Chandler clerk of this court presented to the court a settlement made with William Henderson guardian to the minor heirs of Jas Henderson Decd. a settlement Thos G Douglass guardian to the minor heirs of Albert Henry decd. a settlement made with Preston Maples guardian to Abijah Robeson a lunatic a settlement with George Wade Excr. of Arch Scruggs decd. all of which is confirmed by the court and ordered to be recorded
