VALENTINE, J. A., Dr. - Dr. J. A. Valentine, formerly a well known physician of this county, later of Bolton College, died at his home in Memphis on Monday of last week and was buried at New Salem on Tuesday

VANVICKLE, MOLLIE - Mrs. Mollie Vanvickle, wife of Mr. Ben Vanvickle, of the Beaver neighborhood, died at her home on Thursday morning of last week, of heart trouble, and was buried at Indian Creek graveyard on the day following. Her husband and four children survive her.

VOEGELI, JACK B. - MUNFORD - Lt. Col. Jack B. Voegeli (USAF, ret.), 67, of Cherokee Village, Ark., formerly of Memphis and Jackson, Tenn., died Monday at his home after a short illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Munford Funeral Home with burial in Ravenscroft Cemetery near here. Voegeli was a member of Second Baptist Church of Memphis. During World War II, he flew P40 and P51 fighters and piloted F80 jets during the Korean War. He retired as a colonel at the Pentagon. Voegeli leaves two sons, Todd Voegeli of Burlingame, Calif., and Mark Voegeli of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Taylor of Lakeland, Tenn., Mrs. Fan Pomfrey of New Kent, Va., and Mrs. Merry Ella Conder of Jackson; five brothers, Vic Voegeli of Fulton, Ky., Arch Voegeli of Birmingham, Bill Voegeli of Atlanta, Tom Voegeli of Jackson and Jere Voegeli of Memphis, and a grandchild. The family asks that any memorials be made to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
