Hello and welcome to Williamson County Genealogy Trails! My name is Darlene Anderson and I am glad to be your host. As your host, my goal is to provide raw data for census records, birth records, deed records, will records and newspaper records. This list only names a few of the many types of records that we use to document our genealogies and family histories. We will be transcribing data on a regular basis from any type of record that will help us research our ancestors in Williamson County. And, the best part ... it's all free! We do ask that you cite your source (included on each webpage) and please do not use the information you print from this website for profit either by electronic means or otherwise. In other words, this information is to be strictly used for your personal use and enjoyment.

You can help us, too! Have you found an old newspaper article about people, places or things in Williamson County? Or, maybe a photo of your great grandmother's old home place? Do you have a list of your ancestor's births, marriages or deaths? Send them to me and I will place the information on this website with your name attached as the owner and copyright holder of the information.

Can you help Genealogy Trails in other ways? Sure! If you are interested in joining our group as County Host for any of our websites, view our Volunteer Information page and email Kim. A desire to transcribe data and know-how to make a basic webpage is required.

In the meantime, we'd be very happy to accept any data you'd care to contribute and would like to see displayed on this site. We're looking for "raw data" - the birth/death/marriage records, obituaries, cemetery headstone readings, biographies, county histories, census data, pensions and other military data. In short, we'd like to display all the items you used to put together your family tree (rather than the tree itself).

Email your transcribed data to Darlene and we'll take care of putting it online.

One last word, unfortunately, I cannot perform Williamson County genealogy research on your behalf. I am a volunteer and do not live in Tennessee.
