DIES IN TEXAS. Phoenix, Arix., June 8.— Word has been received of the death, at Midland, Texas, of A. S. Hawkins, an attorney here from 1912 till last October, when he returned to his former home in Texas. Here he waged an active canvass for the Democratic nomination for attorney general and he save much attention to county politics as well. FORT WORTH BOY DIES Succumbs From Injuries When Horse Tripped and Fell. By Associated Press. FORT WORTH, Tex., June 12.— J. C. Scharbauer. 13, only son of Clarence Scharbauer of Midland, died early Thursday from injuries received Monday afternoon when a horse he was riding over the Scbarbauer ranch tripped and fell. BIG SPRINGS, Jan 29th W. A. White, 50, and Miss Lela Wilson, 21 both residents of Midland, died at the hospital in Big Springs as the result of an automobile accident near Stanton on Saturday at 11:50 p. m. Accompanied by Doe Brown and sister of Midland, they were motoring to Stanton. As they neared town the big car crashed into truck which had been left on the side of the road. It was struck at an angle that the automobile was side? and White and Miss Wilson were both badly injured that death is ? They were brought to Mercy ? Sunday and Miss Wilson died Monday morning. Midland Man Dies In Dallas (By The Associated Press) DALLAS. March 3.—Edgar H. Braswell. 33. Midland district manager of the Texas Electric Service Company of Midland, died at a hospital here Friday. Center Parking Is Banned At Odessa , Jan. 19.—Officials of the city have passed an ordinance prohibiting center parking in Odessa streets following the death of Clyde Cowden, Jr., 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Cowden of Midland, who died Wednesday from injuries received when he was struck by a truck as he stepped from between two parked cars on Grant avenue near the Elliott hotel. The city officials had permitted the parking as an aid to oil companies operating trucks in the Odessa area and who found it impossible to park on the side of the street. Representative B. Frank Haag of Midland died at 1:15 p. m. Thursday in a San Angelo hospital as the result of an automobile crash late Tuesday night near Sterling City. He had suffered triple fracture of parietal bone on the right of the head over the eye and ear. Irvin Blacher of Midland died today from effect of Injuries he sustained In an automobile-truck- crash near here Monday night. He never regained consciousness. Blacher's death was the second from the. crash, Eddie Weinstein 33, Fort Worth and Tulsa attorney having been instantly killed.
