Hershel W.C.. Ainsworth, 56, of Odessa, a salesman for Bowen Tool Co., died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Delhi, La. He was Baptist. SURVIVORS: Sons, Kenneth Ainsworth of Pipe Creek and Toby Ainsworth of Odessa; parents, W.C. and Dorothy Ainsworth of Odessa; brothers, Charles Ainsworth and Bobby Ainsworth, both of Odessa; sisters, Patsy Berry of Denver City and Gloria Hallmark of Kermit; and three grandchildren.

W. C. Ainsworth, 92, of Dublin, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville. He was born on Feb. 16, 1917 in Magee, Miss. He was married to Dorothy Ainsworth. In life, Ainsworth worked in the oilfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Hershel W.C. Ainsworth and numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Charles Ainsworth and Bobby Ainsworth, both of Odessa; two daughters, Patsy Berry of Dublin and Gloria Hallmark of Stephenville; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 30 at the Kermit Cemetery in Kermit, TX with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. KERMIT (RNS) — Funeral for John Dewey Bennett, 62, will be held in the North side Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday 'with the Rev. M. U. Pruitt, former pastor now serving at Mosquito, and the Rev. D. N. Shepherd, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Kermit Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Mr. Bennett, an eight-year resident of Kermit, died Monday morning in a local hospital. He was retired from The Gulf Pipeline Co., and was a member of the North side Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Emmitt Davis, o Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Bette Tarrant of Roscoe, Mrs. Maudie Hollis of Abilene. WILLIAM BRYANT KERMIT (Staff) - William Bryant. 78. of Kermit. died Saturday in Memorial Hospital here. He had lived in Kermit for five months, moving here from Plainview He was a member of the Baptist Church, and was a retired repairman for the Southern Pacific Railway. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church here, with Rev. A L. Samuels officiating, assisted by Rev. Foster L. Covington Jr. Burial will be in Kermit Cemetery under direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel. Survivors include his wife. Mrs. Beulah Bryant of Kermit: five sons. Willie Bryant and John Bryant, both of Kermit. Robert Bryant of Loving ton. N.M.. Charles Bryant of Spur, and M. C. Bryant of Phoenix. Ariz.: 25 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Kermit - Margaret Denny, 81, of Kermit left her life holding hands with her family on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Family Services Funeral Home with Chaplain Bryan Johnson officiating, interment following at Kermit Cemetery. Margaret was born July 30, 1928, in Loving, Texas, to Fred & Ethel Byrom. October 1, 1947, she married James C. Denny in Wheeler, Texas. They had three children: James Michael, Patrick Daniel and Marsha Lynne.She was a nurse, a homemaker and an avid bowler. She loved her family, her children and most of all her grandchildren. She bowled in leagues, travel leagues and competed in over 20 National Tournaments around the United States with her "girls" and her "ducks." She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years James C. Denny. She is survived by her sister: Ruby Bliss of Kermit; sons: Mike Denny of Kermit, Pat Denny and wife Holly of Kermit; daugh-ter: Marsha Hill and husband James of Kermit; five grandchildren: Jeana Espinoza of Mansfield, Texas, Clay Denny of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Zach Hill of Midland, Callie Hill of Midland, Shea Denny of Odessa, Andi Heather Saltor & husband Shawn of Monahans and Zach Denny of Kermit; and five great-grandchildren: Keaton Hill, Kristina & Mia Espinoza, Christian Saltor and Kaytlin Eastep. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Arnold, Wayland Thomas, Ricky Kidd, Jimmy Don Arnold, Bill James and Kendal James. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zach Hill, Clay Denny, Keaton Hill, Zach Denny and Chuck Prescott. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Home Hospice. Janice Turner and Ve-ronica Sanchez were more than nurses, they were our family. They loved Margaret like she was their family, and Margaret felt the same way. Born March 12, 1915. a! Sour Lake, Texas Mr. Gilstrap married Lena Parchman . June 25. 1938 at Carlsbad, N.M. They lived at Ackerly from 1955 to 1962 when he moved to Big; Spring. He had worked for Humble Oil Co. for the past 15 yearn. He was  a member of the Church of Christ. KERMIT (Special) — Services for Harold Joe Hix, 18, of Kermit, who died about 1 a.m. Monday m a motorcycle accident 7.3 miles south of Canyon on Interstate 27, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Christian Church here. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral home Investigating officers said Hix . apparently failed to negotiate a curve and struck a reflector post. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the mishap by Justice of the Peace W. A. Wilson of Canyon. Hix was graduated from Kermit High School in 1972 and was a member of the all-district baseball team his senior year. He was born in Briscow, Okla., and had lived in Kermit for 14 years, moving here from Tonkawa, Okla. Hix was a member of the Trinity Christian Church here. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Hix of Kermit; a brother, Kenneth Earl Hix of the home; two sisters. William John Hoover, 55, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital [Kermit TX] after a short illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cooper Funeral Chapel with burial in Kermit Cemetery.
He was born Aug 26, 1914 in Clarksville, TX. He was superintendent for Dunn Oil Co of Kermit. He was a Baptist. He had lived here 12 years, moving here from Fredrick OK., where he had lived for 16 years.
He was married to Eve Iscott Sharp Sept 16, 1933 in Lawton, OK.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Melvin Lee Hoover of Dalhart and Michael Thomas Hoover of the home; three daughters, Betty Jean Brown of Tipton OK, Mrs Frances Geraldine Arnold of Kermit and Miss Cathy Jan Hoover of the home; his mother, Mrs Ludee Hoover of Kermit; three brothers, Holbert Hoover of Mineral Wells and Wilbert Hoover and Riley Hoover, both of Los Angeles CA; two sisters, Mrs Mage Spivey of Kermit and Mrs Rorena Conway of Eunice NM and eight granchildren.

Born June 27, 1890 in Geuda Springs, Kan., she was married to John Richard Roberts Aug. 9, 1908, in Faxon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Faxon and had lived in Kermit six months moving here from there. KERMIT (Staff) - Hime Rodriquez. eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Aurelio Rodriquez of Kermit. died Monday in Texas Children's Hospital in Houston following a long illness. The boy was born in Kermit Jan. 30. 1964. He was a member of St . Joseph Catholic Church . He is survived by his parents; four brothers, Arturo Rodriquez of Houston, Robert Rodriquez of Brewton. Ala., and Jose and Aurelio Rodriquez Jr., both of Kermit; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Carrasco of El Paso, Mrs Rosa Marrufo of Wink and Cruz Rodriquez of Kermit; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Rodriquez of Pecos, and the maternal grandparents. Mrs. Voyles was dead on arrival at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa at 12:05 p.m. Saturday. She was born July 22.1891. in Mr. Vernon. MRS. L.M. WICKSON KERMIT (Staff) - Mrs. Lindsey Margaret Wickson, 78, of Kermit died in Memorial Hospital here at 5:15 a.m. today. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russ Smith of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Kermit Cemetery. She was born Dec. 18, 1894, in Haskell County and was a retired nurse. She had lived in Kermit 15 years moving here from Pecos. She was a Methodist. Married to William Alphues Wickson Sr. Sept. 15, 1908, in Lovington, N.M. Her husband preceded her in death in 1947. Survivors include two sons, William Alphues Wickson, Jr. and David Edward Wickson, both of Denver City; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Byler of Pecos and Mrs. Vic Geise of Kermit; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. EUGENE M. WILSON KERMIT { Staff } - Eugene M. Wilson. 74. a retired serviceman and a veteran of both the Army and the Navy died Friday night in Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Cooper Funeral Chapel!, with Rev. Edward H. Carsons. pastor of the First Baptist Church of Wink, officiating. Burial will be in Kermit Cemetery. Wilson, who moved to Kermit four years ago from Wink, was married Sept. 30 1966. to Mary Ellen Hughes in Breckenridge. He was born Aug. 13. 1898. in Thorps Springs.
