FISHER -- John Stanley Fisher., -78, A resident of Galveston for 40 years, died at 6 a.m. Saturday morning in the U.S. Public Health Service hospital, Mr. Fisher waa born Dec. 31, 1877 in Chambers county, Texas. He was a member of the Order of the Elks , St. Patrick's parish, a. member of the MEBA engineering organization, and served as a. merchant marine during World War II, Survivor*s are his wife, Mrs. Mary Frances Fisher of Galveston, two daughters, Mrs. Martha D. Yoakum and Mrs, L. D. Rosal; two sons, Bernard E. and John S. Jr. all of Galveston; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia E. Fisher of Cedar Bayou, and Miss Anna Fisher of Goose Creek. Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday in Malloy & Son funeral home, the Rev. Lou?? Catrone officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday with Father Catrone, St. Mary Alter Society and Msgr. Kirwin Council of the Knights of Columbus officiating:. WATSON -- William E. Watson Dies at Residence William Ernest (Willie) Watson, 77, died Sunday at his residence at 1418 23rd street. 'Born In Chambers county. Texas, Mr. Watson had been a Galveston resident for the past three years, He is survived by five relatives, Mrs. Frank Luezkowski of Galveston; Mes.
