STUDDERT-FRES Abilene Reporter News, April 18, 1937, transcribed by, Amanda Jowers Former Abilene Girl Is Married Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fres of Fort Worth, former Abilenians, are announcing the marriage of their daughter Pearl, to Jimmie Studdert of Beaumont. The marriage was solemnized April 6 in Beaumont where the couple are to live. Mr. Studdert is connected with the Magnolia Oil company. Mrs. Studdert received her schooling in Abilene, graduating from Abilene high school in 1931. She was engaged in radio work, singing over radio stations WPAA, WLW and WLS. She also sang with orchestras and at the time of her marriage was a featured performer with an orchestra in Lafayette, La.
