Ruby Pearl Harris - Graveside services for Ruby Pearl Harris, 121 E. Oppenheimer, were held at 3 p.m. on June 23rd in the Brackettville Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Scott, pastor of First Baptist Church officiated. Mrs. Harris, age 81, died June 21, 1991 in Amistad Care Center. She was born March 28, 1910 in Lockhart and was married to Martin C. Harris on April 18, 1928 in Kinney County. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1984. She is survived by a son, L.L. "Doc" Harris, Uvalde; daughter, Gwen Wickson, Kerrville; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters: Loraine Wilson of Uvalde, Annie Hoft of Fort Worth, Edoleen Hodges of Kerrville and Mary Etta Skinner of Mansfield. Also four brothers: Bill Riddle of Nemo, and Milburn, Ed and E.C. "Mike" Riddle of Fort Worth. Memorials may be made to the Uvalde Chapter of the Heart of the Hills Hospice, 1038 Garner Field Road, Uvalde, Texas 78801. Arrangements were by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Charles F. Hoch, Jr. died 24 January 1987 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born 16 May 1922 in Brackettville, the son of Neil (Stadler) and Charles Hoch, Sr., and the grandson of Viola Flora (Varney) and Otto Stadler of Brackettville. Charles F. Hoch, Jr., was married 28 June 1952 in Corpus Christi to SWTGS Member Bertie Hinman, granddaughter of Minnie Cline who was the daughter of Sophie (Korn) and August Wennmoth Cline of the Cline community. Charles Hoch, Jr. is survived by his wife, his mother, a brother, (J. R. Hoch), three sons (Charles, Blair, and Trace), and three granddaughters, all of Corpus Christi.
