O'Dell C. Connell
ASTORIA, Ill. - O'Dell C. Connell, 82, of Ipava, Ill., and formerly Heidenheimer died Thursday, May 10, at an Astoria, Ill., nursing home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lewistown Church of the Nazarene in Lewistown, Ill., with the Rev. Randy Munson officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by the Ipava American Legion Post No. 17 will be in Ipava Cemetery in Ipava. Mr. Connell was born in Heidenheimer to Olan and Abbie Green Connell and he retired from the U.S. Army in 1970. He then worked as manager at South Texas Tire Test Fleet in Devine, Texas, was elected as constable in Devine and then worked as Chief of Police 1975-1976 in Astoria. Dr. George W. Howard
Devine, Medina Co., Tex. , March 18. – Died, at his home in Devine on Friday, March 17, at 3:30 p.m. , Dr. George W. Howard, a prominent citizen and physician, in the 48th year of his age. He was a native of Coffee county, Tenn. , and a graduate of the medical department of Vanderbilt university. He came to Texas in January, 1886, and settled in Devine, where he continued to reside until his death. His death was caused by the grip and pneumonia. He leaves surviving him besides his wife, five children, two girls and three boys.

Twin sons of Mr. Murray
The twin sons of Mr. Murray, a farmer residing at Lacoste Station,
Tex., were drowned while bathing in the Medina River.
