Orange Blossoms --- On last Thursday evening at 5 o'clock, July 16th, 1890, a large large assembly of friends and relatives of the contracting parties met in the Baptist church at Moulton Institute to witness the marriage of Mr. Watt Miller, a popular young man of this section, and Miss Mattie Bailey, daughter of Mrs. John Bailey, of Stonewall. The church had been beatifully decorated for the occasion unde the directions of Mrs. Frank, sister of the groom. The bride and groom never appeared more lovely and handsome. They entered the church in time with the lovely wedding march played by Miss Mollie Frank. The ushers were Mr. Reed, of Houston, and Miss Lizzie Frank, a niece of the groom, who looked as lovely as the bride. Just as they reached stand they took their position facing the audience. An appropriate prayer was then uttered, after which the bridal party passed out. After congratulations and adieus were spoken Mr. and Mrs. Miller left for Flatonia, accompanied by several friends, where they took the train for Uvalde, their future home. The bride was handsomely attired in a traveling suit and the groom in conventional black. This fair bride was born and reared in our midst and her lovely disposition and many sterling qualities have won for her a host of friends who will miss her society. She is as brightly gifted in mind as in person, and was lovely to look upon as she stood beside her noble husband, who is a prosperous and prominent stockman of Uvalde county, possessed of good attributes of both head and heart. We waft all the good wishes that sincerity and friendship can suggest and at last a happy home in Heaven.

NEALY-SOCKWELL

There has been quite a lot of visitors, among them was Mr. Clyde Nealy of Uvalde who came in last week and claime one of our fairest, Miss Mollie Sockwell as his bride. They were united in marriage at the Moulton Baptist Church, Sunday night, March 17, 1907. Rev. Rowland in a beautiful ceremony united the happy couple. As they entered the church and up the aisle to the altar the sweet strains of the wedding march so appropriate on such occasions, pealed forth from the organ by the deft touch of Miss Jesse Thornton of Shiner, who was so intimately associated with the charming bride, who was born and reared right here in our midst and to say we will miss her is only putting it lightly.
A reception was given the couples next day at the home of the grooms parents Mr. and Mrs, F. M. Neely, after which they were accompanied by a number of friends to the depot where they took the 2:30 train for Uvalde their future home. Mr. and Mrs. Neely on their arrival in Uvalde were tendered a royal reception at the elegant home of Mr. and Mrs. Alek. Vanham, uncle of the groom where a large crowd assembled to welcome them. The groom Mr. Neely is a Moulton raised young man, but of late years a prosperous stockman of Uvalde where they go to reside on a ranch.
