KAUFMAN, TEXAS
Feb 5 -Jessie Alexander, the 3 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Alexander died this morning about 2 o'clock of congestion


Feb 4 Mrs. R.T. Harman died at her home, near here, last night. She suffered a stroke of paralysis two days before, never speaking after the attack.

July 29 - Mrs. J.O.Burt died at her home near here this morning leaving an infant four days old.

Bertha Mae Nordin

Graveside services for Bertha Mae Nordin, 95, of Mabank will be held at 2pm, Friday, March 15, in Pleasant Grove North Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Hamiter officiating.  No formal visitation is planned.  She was born June 30, 1900, in Hopkins County, the daughter of William T and Laura Boss Kenemore.  She married John E. Nordin on Nov 19, 1917, in Sulphur Springs.  He preceded her in death in August 1970.  Mrs. Nordin was a homemaker.  Survivors include a son, Thomas Nordin of Mabank; a daughter, Ladell Moffitt of Mabank; two brothers, John Kenemore and Buck Kenemore both of Kingman, Ariz; a sister, Nancy Jones of Kingman, Ariz; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Tapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John E. Nordin Dies in Dallas

John Ethridge Nordin, 1115 Lawton Drive, Dallas died Wednesday in Dallas.  Final rites will be held at 11am, Saturday at Murray Orwesky Funeral Home with the Rev Findley Quattlebaum officiating and interment following at the Pleasant Grove cemetery.  Grandchildren will serve as pall bearers.  Mr. Nordin who was married to Bertha Kenemore on Nov 24, 1917 in Sulphur Springs was born Aug 5, 1898 in Tennessee son of Mr and Mrs Martin Nordin.  Survivors include his wife of Dallas, three sons, Grady, John Jr and Thomas Nordin all of Arizona, two daughters Mrs. Berthe Sterling and Mrs. Ladell Moffitt both of Dallas, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  Mr Nordin was a veteran of World War I and held membership in the VFW.
