Mrs. G.T. Bryant
Mrs. G. T. Bryant Dies In Lamesa
Friends and relatives here were informed of the death of Mrs. G. T. Bryant, a former Abilene woman, at her home in Lamesa yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Bryant, who lived here several years, had been a resident of Lamesa for some time. She was about 60 years old. Her membership formerly was in the First Baptist church here. Survivors are five sons, Otis C. Bryant of Abilene; Everett Bryant of O'Donnell and Cecil, Roy, and Raymond Bryant, all of Lamesa three daughters, Mrs. Idilia Young and Mrs. Vera Harrell of Breckenridge and Mrs. Ed Hatch of Lamesa; her mother, Mrs. Fannie Pool of Abilene; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Bishop of Abilene; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were to be at 4 o'clock this afternoon in the Baptist church in Lamesa. Mrs. Bryant was to be buried there beside her husband, who died two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bryant, Mrs. Pool, Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Young, and Mrs. Harrell were in Lamesa to attend the rites. [Abilene Reporter News, April 23, 1937, transcribed by Amanda Jowers]
