WOODS CALLS ON MAYOR
John W. Woods, of Rotan Texas,
candidate for attorney general, is in El Paso. Harry Tom King, an attorney of Abilene, accompanied Mr. Woods Thursday
morning on a visit to mayor Lea at the city hall and to the courthouse. They
report west Texas very prosperous this season.

Assassinated
Dallas, Tex., Jan 14 - A bulletin from Roby, Texas states that Col. Millsap one of the most prominent cattlement
of the west was assassinated tonight by some unknown man who fired through a window of the Lacey hotel where Col.

Use of Gasoline instead of Kerosene, Kills Two
El Paso, Tex., Jan. 18 - Evidently believing that a can contained kerosene instead of gasoline, Mann Headstrom,
living five miles from Roby, Texas, poured some of the fluid into a stove to hasten the fire, and when it ignited,
an explosion followed which resulted in the death of Headstrom and his five year old son. Five other members of
the family were badly burned.
