Wellington , Tex. , Feb. 12. – Major M. W. Deavenport of this place died yesterday at 4 o’clock . Major Deavenport formerly lived at Denton and Quanah, but has lived in Collingsworth County for the last fifteen years. He was 86 years old. He leaves two sons and two daughters, who are all prominent people in this part of the State.
